This weekend on Sunday the 17th of May
in Coppetts Woods at 2pm:
You will learn how to turn earth into art:
gather and process earth pigments
practice meditative trance induced painting.
Tune in with the space, the woods
Make lake pigments,
Oak gall ink
And artisan charcoal.

All in tune with reciprocal foraging.
We will touch on law and history in relation to sourcing your art materials.

When you work with the spirits of place, their energies - the materials speak to you.
You will experience that natural pigments will behave differently than store bought acrylic or oil paints. There is some unpredictability to embrace.You may scry the shapes like nephelomancy (scrying clouds).

If this speaks to you. Come along. It is practical, hands on and if you with deeper connected. Eerie one welcome. Kids enjoy this too.
It’s worth taking notes. Brushes, paper and storage vessels are provides but if you bring your favourite brush it won't be harmed by the natural materials.

This Sunday. Food Drink Music Stalls. Gh studio will run alchemical natural pigment workshops and sell art. Come along. In case of rain I have a Gazebo. Oh.. and there is local brewed beer. And after all we are in the Woods and support it's protection. Share the love💚🧚‍♀️

Beltane
The Gate of Summer opens. TheqLord & Lady dress in their brightest green. Their union holds the promise of a fertile season ahead. Rejoice in ecstasy, in love and joy. Life force of nature. The wheel of the year turns once more. Changing but unchanging. Time for new beginnings.Hold the fire of the sun. Ignite new passions. Live life to the fullest. Find joy in every moment as with the blink of a second that moment belongs to the past.

I feel grateful and humble to walk this earth. To be in the forest and bathe in the lush green. Take in the power of the sun. This time of the year lifts my spirit.

Ravenpower. Charcoal made from a willow twig cut near the wild camp site where we stayed and waved magic. We did cut the tree someone did some tree work. So I perceived it as a gift. I will share the alchemical process of making artisan charcoal in another post. For now enjoy the ravens. They & Giclée prints will be available after Yuletide.If you want them beforehand.
