We are proud to announce the first artists confirmed for Bromyard Folk Festival 2026.

This year’s programme brings together internationally respected names and outstanding contemporary voices from across the folk world.

Richard Thompson – A defining figure in British folk and folk-rock, whose songwriting and guitar work have shaped the tradition for more than five decades.

FARA – The Orkney fiddle-led quartet whose intricate arrangements and powerful ensemble sound celebrate the richness of Scottish traditional music.

Kris Drever & Cahalen Morrison – A transatlantic meeting of Scottish contemporary folk and American roots music, combining masterful songwriting and close harmony.

Chris Wood – One of England’s most respected and incisive songwriters, bringing narrative depth and a profound connection to the English tradition.

Granny’s Attic – Our longstanding Festival Patrons, renowned for their exceptional musicianship and vibrant take on English traditional music.

Emily Portman & Friends – Award-winning songwriting rooted in ballads and folklore, presented in a richly layered live collective.

Janice Burns & Jon Doran – An award-winning Anglo-Scottish duo celebrated for their finely crafted harmonies and beautifully understated arrangements.

Keith Donnelly – A masterful entertainer blending accomplished musicianship with wit and storytelling.

Lauren South – A Warwickshire-based singer and multi-instrumentalist whose evocative songwriting draws on nature, motherhood and the night sky.

Alex Akiba – A rising contemporary folk voice, combining intricate fingerstyle guitar with reflective original songs.

And this is only the beginning. Many more artists, dancers and performers will be announced in the months ahead, as we build towards almost 100 events across 20 indoor venues featuring around 400 performers.

✨ Thank You!!! ✨

What a weekend! The festival has now drawn to a close and we want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came, performed, volunteered, and supported us. The vibe this year was amazing – even with Friday night and Sunday’s heavy showers – and it was wonderful to see Bromyard buzzing with music, dance and friendship.

Special thanks go from the Directors to the Festival Committee, crew, stewards, artists, partners, and the whole Bromyard community who make this possible every year. From site set-up to workshops, from the bar to the box office, from Morris dancing to medical support – it takes a whole village (and more!) to bring the festival alive.

We are so grateful for your energy, passion, and commitment. Here’s to next year – come and join The Best of Folk! 💚

✈️❌ Unfortunately, due to adverse weather conditions grounding all flights, Joshua Burnside will no longer be able to join us for the Sunday Evening concert. We know many of you were looking forward to his set, and we’re very sorry for the disappointment — but we’re confident we’ll welcome him back to Bromyard Folk Festival in the future.

✨ The good news is that the brilliant Enda Kenny will step in, performing alongside Donnelly & South, Kerr, Fagan, Van Eyken, and Breabach. It promises to be a truly memorable evening of music! 🎶
