Painting portraits
I love painting faces and trying to capture someones personality. This self portrait captures my concentrated stare as I peer at myself in a mirror. I like to use lots of colour and sometimes surprise myself with the colour choices. Commissioning a portrait that captures your physical appearance but also gets some of your spirit in it is quite special and while having studio sittings is ideal I’m happy to work from photos. Please feel free message me to enquire and discuss your ideas, what I need from the photos in terms of poses and quality, and prices. The lead time is 3 to 6 months, I use artist quality oils on premium cotton or linen canvases. Oil paintings take a minimum of 6 months to fully dry depending on the thickness of the paint. Most paintings can have a temporary varnish applied after 3 months, be framed and then dispatched. I look forward to hear from you.
