It's always lovely to find an audience for my poetry and I'm very proud to say that I'm going to be on BBC radio again. It's not a wedding poem, but it is a poem about love... or at least about the fall out when young love runs its course.

You can hear 'Paired discussion' (now called 'Talk to your partner') tomorrow - Thursday 25th - on BBC Radio Gloucestershire and Wiltshire from 6pm on Adam Crowther's BBC Upload show. You can also catch it on BBC radio Bristol and Somerset from 7pm, as well as on all the mentioned stations this Saturday from 6pm.

Sunday night poetry: Family Business

This poem was created for a client who wanted something personal to be read out at their wedding ceremony. Through talking with the couple, I found out more about them and what it is about their relationship that they wanted to capture in this poem.

I found that they had a fantastic work ethic and worked together in their family business. This is what drove the essence of the poem and how it may seem mundane to some people but, to them, this is their life and their love.
