Our very popular private garden tours took place last week, led by garden historian & designer Marion Mako.
This is a rare opportunity to take a peek behind the garden gates of some of the most exclusive dwellings in Broadway, and learn about the fascinating history of the people who have called them home over the years.
We are very lucky to have gardens of historic interest in Broadway, designed by the most influential garden designers of their time.

Many thanks to the 4 garden owners who opened their gardens and allowed us to visit. We had people from across the country make the journey especially for this opportunity.

Our garden tours take place each year in June, the next being during the next festival June 11-20 2027.

Our Paint-Off is about so much more than winning prizes, it's about...
- Artists coming together from across the country and spending the day being creative together
- Sharing tips and tricks and comparing set ups and materials
- Chatting with the public about your work and commissions
- Inspiring the next generation of artists wandering past
- Laughing together about the ever changing weather conditions
- The excitement of the doors of the exhibition opening and overhearing lovely comments from the public

We hope all 96 of you who came and took part on Sunday enjoyed your day in Broadway, and we hope to see you on Sunday 20th June 2027 for the plein air competition, and on Saturday 19th June 2027 for the portrait paint-off!

We really did enjoy meeting you all.

It's The Great Broadway Paint-Off and Portrait Paint-Off on Sunday 7th June! Come and see 100 talented artists from around the country paint our beautiful village ...as well as compete to win prizes. You will find artists across the village & at the tower.

The Portrait Paint-Off will be taking place at the same time in the Lifford Hall, with a public viewing area for you to come and watch from 11am-1pm (free). We will have villagers as our 5 models!

There's a selling exhibition of entries at the Lifford Hall 4-5pm (free entry) where you also get to vote for the Visitors' Choice winner.

Bring the family and prepare to be inspired!
