🎓 Is your little one starting school in September? 🎓

The end of term is always a bittersweet time at Musical Friends as we say goodbye to some of our wonderful friends who are beginning their next big adventure – starting school!

To celebrate this exciting milestone, we're hosting our annual Musical Friends Leavers Party – a chance to celebrate, make special memories, and send our school starters off in style. 🌟

It's also a lovely opportunity for Debbie and Monkey to say goodbye to your child, thank you for your support over the years, and celebrate all the wonderful memories we've shared together.

📅 Friday 24th July
⏰ 9:45am – 11:30am
📍 Warnham Comrades Club

💷 £9.50 per child

Price includes:
🎵 Musical Friends entertainment
🏅 Leavers certificate

☕ Hot drinks for adults

👶 Younger siblings are welcome at a discounted price.

Please note that this event is specially aimed at children leaving to start school in September.

👦👧 Siblings aged 6 and over are welcome to attend and sit with parents or bring along a quiet activity to enjoy at the tables at the back of the room while the younger children take part in the party activities.

❤️ I'll be bringing the tissues! The Musical Friends Leavers Party is always a very emotional event as we say goodbye to children who have often been with us for many years. Watching them grow from babies and toddlers into confident school starters is such a privilege. While it's sad to say goodbye, it's also wonderful to celebrate everything they have achieved and wish them luck on their next adventure.

Don't forget – just because school is starting, it doesn't mean the fun has to stop! You're still very welcome to join us at our summer sessions and special holiday events before September arrives. ☀️

We also run Musical Friends Just Dance after-school classes for school-aged children. If your little one would like to keep dancing with Debbie once they start school, pop their name on the waiting list and we'll be in touch when spaces become available. 💃🕺

Don't miss out — this is our only Friday session in June!

Join us for a fun-packed Musical Friends session where we'll be:
🎵 Learning about different body parts through songs like Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes and One Finger, One Thumb
☀️ Learning how to keep safe in the sun
🧸 Bringing your teddy along to join in the fun
🌈 Enjoying music, dancing, action songs, instruments, props and parachute play

We even have a special parachute song for all the teddies to join in with!

As always, our sessions support learning through play and cover areas of the EYFS in a relaxed, friendly and high-energy environment.

This month we have a fun “My Body and Sun Safety” theme! We’ll be learning the names of different body parts through songs such as Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, One Finger, One Thumb and If You’re Happy and You Know It, while also learning simple ways to keep safe in the sun and exploring Makaton signs linked to our theme.

While children are busy having fun, they are also learning through play. Our sessions support the EYFS by encouraging communication and language, confidence, social skills, physical development, listening and concentration, creativity, and early maths through counting songs and games.

Most importantly, children build confidence, make friends and have lots of fun in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Fun fact for parents:
Through our music and movement sessions, children are building important early skills without even realising it! Dancing and action songs help develop coordination and gross motor skills, while singing supports speech, language and communication. Activities like acting as animals encourage imagination and confidence, and group games help children learn to take turns, follow instructions and build social skills—all key areas of the EYFS.
