WOW. Brixham, there are no words!! But let’s try and find some...
Yesterday, over 3,500 (!!) people came down to Brixham Harbour for a humble sardine, and we served over 10,000 of them!! If there was any doubt that us “”fussy Brits”” have an appetite for its own magnificent fish, then surely yesterday we put it to rest.
This festival doesn’t happen without a lot of people chipping in. HUGE thank yous to every chef who travelled down, fired up a grill and cooked behind those scorching grills in the midday sun! To the bands, the street performers and the speakers who brought top-tier entertainment all day. Our incredible volunteers and all of our sponsors.
And of course, the biggest THANK YOU to the community of Brixham. A celebration isn’t possible with support and good vibes, and you brought that and so much more.
The humble sardine has been overlooked for too long. Two summers celebrating it in Brixham and we’re only just getting started. Same time next year, yeah??
