Dear fellow folky singers, players and joiner-inners

Thanks so much to everyone who joined us on Friday evening for such a great BFC session. While so many regulars were away, it was so lovely to welcome new faces to the club and some much missed returnees…

You all gave the session such a good and lively energy, and great contributions. And some lovely feedback 🙏😊.

We will look forward to seeing you all, plus our returning regulars, to the next session on 6th Nov.

(We missed Chris B prodigious photos and videos, so there are only a few snippets, which we’ll post anon 🙏)

Dear BeeEffSea-ers

It’s already that time of the month again!!! Where has September gone?

Just a reminder that we will be meeting at 7.30 next Friday evening for the October BFC session. Singers, musicians, clog and gig doll dancers, audience participants and folk poets all welcome.

And we will be in our new venue again, which everyone was really positive about last month: The Constitutional Club on New Road, next door to Brixham Museum.

We will look forward to seeing, and hearing, lots of you there 😍…

Thank you to everyone who made last night’s BFC session such a great evening… thanks to our regulars, to those who are new to BFC and thanks especially to Greg, who brought a rich personality and glorious Welsh voice to the proceedings 🙏🙏.

Thanks to Chris B for the videos and photos she has already shared 🙏. Hope you all enjoy them.

Thanks too to the Constitutional Club, which proved to be great and popular venue and potential new home for the folk club.

We will look forward to seeing as many of you as can make it to the next session, on October 2nd…

And a further clarification, in response to some of your questions, the room we’ll be using is downstairs at the Constitution club (you may have known it previously as the Conservative club but it no longer has any political affiliation)…

Dear BFCers.

Just a brief update on our previous post (and thank you to those of you who suggested ideas for possible venues 🙏).

Jo has done a brilliant job and secured space for the club to meet at the Constitution Club, not just for September but through to the end of the year 🙌.

So we will be meeting as planned on 4th September at 7.30pm, but in the Constitution Club on New Road (next to the museum) rather than the Edge.

There is a bar there and we are therefore asked to get drinks there and not bring our own drinks in.

We hope to see as many of you lovely people as possible for this next session.

Dear Brilliant Folky Collective (see what I did there 🤪)…

Just to let you know that the building at The Edge has unexpectedly had to be cleared so we are not going to be able to use it for the September BFC session.

Jo is working hard to try to find an alternative venue but it’s proving challenging so far.

We will let you know as soon as we have any firm news.
