Workshop Notice

I have had a lot of no shows and last minute cancellations recently. Due to this, going forward I'll be charging a £25 booking fee that will need to be paid upon booking an appointment. This will be taken off the total price or refunded during the appointment.

The importance of drilling pilot holes!!
You can see the cracks in the grain between the vintage screw holes!
This guitar came in with loose tuners and 8mm bushings glued into 10mm holes, as a result the Tuners were loose, stiff to turn and after investigating had cracked the wood all along the headstock.

UPDATE!The workshop is looking a lot better. Bookings are back open from Thursday this week 🤘

I'm off on my honeymoon! Which means the workshop will be closed until Monday 23rd May!

The last job before heading off was a good one 😉!
Chris Wright, Lead guitar and Musical Director of Ultimate Eagles dropped his double neck Custom Shop off for some tlc. And yes... When it was done I had to have a go at Hotel California & Stairway 😂😂.

All done and back with Chris ready for some more touring in Europe!

See you on the other side!

Opening Hours Update

Hope everyone had an amazing Christmas with lots of guitar related gifts!

The Workshop will remain closed over NYE and the following week but will reopen from Monday 10th January.

Thank you to everyone who's visited the Workshop over the last year! It's been the busiest yet and a pleasure to work on some great guitars.

We are now fully booked until the new year!
So if you have have any enquiries please drop the page a message and we'll arrange a drop off date for the new year 💪, also I can still answer any questions anyone might have.

Apologies for the quietness on the page.
The Workshop is still open and been busy, but due to summer season gigs I've been unable to take on a huge amount of jobs. As we enter the winter months more time will be dedicated to the workshop, thanks for your patience!

The page has been a bit quiet lately but with the return of gigs, the workshop has been busier than ever.

Here's a PRS that was in for a set up, fretboard needed conditioning and oiling, and the frets needed shining.

These Red Specials seem to gravitate to this shop.

This is Martyn's RS.

It's a 'Transition' model, originally made by Burns and came in with some issues.

The guitar had been left unused for years and suffered from lifting fret ends caused by drying out of the Fretboard and a large amount of forward bow in the neck.

Also these guitars suffer with bass string buzz if you have the action any lower than 2mm thanks to the combination of a short scale length and the use of light gauge strings. So we've gone up to 10s to allow us to drop the action slightly.

All done and ready for some Brian esq playing.
