Greetings lovely goblins, haglets, haglings and all other creatures in between!

We, the Greenbank Hags, would like to apologise for the silence that ensued while we were busy cleaning our cauldrons & getting all other manner of witchy business in order.

As some of you may know, Small Hag has absconded from the South West to Scotland, and Tall Hag has moved further west into the wilds of Wales. We are both busy & happy pursuing exciting creative ventures, but as a result, we have decided to put our Greenbank Hags endeavours to bed for a short while.

We have loved sharing stories with you over the past four (!) years, both in-person at our wonderful Greenbank Pub and online. We hold you - our audience, fellow storytellers, and fellow story-lovers - deep in our hag hearts.

This is not the end! We hope to return with one-off events both in-person and online: watch this space for updates.

In the meantime, stay safe, keep your broomsticks trimmed & your cauldrons polished, and we will see you very soon.

Love, the Hags x

*ANNOUNCEMENT* Unfortunately, we have had to postpone next week's StoryZOOM, as our very own Tall Hag has moved to a very rural location and currently has no wifi! We will be back very soon - please keep an eye on this page for updates. In the meantime, lots of love from the Hags x

Happy birthday to our very own Small Hag who can pull the best faces, make up gruesome folk songs about eating children, & looks really good in fancy hats.

May we tell many, many more stories together.

Lots of love from Tall Hag x

*LINE UP ANNOUNCEMENT!*

We've got a truly stellar all-female line-up for you this coming Sunday for MOTHER MAY I?

First off, we'll be welcoming the wonderful SHARON CARR, who not only told at our first-ever live STORYPUB, way back in the mists of time, but has also been a regular teller and listener at StoryZOOM over the past year!

Sharon is originally from Canada but dwells in the Midlands now, and traces her love of storytelling back to her Welsh mother. She has performed at festivals, in museums and libraries: wherever she gets the chance to tell a tale!

Thank you so much to everyone who came to our evening of BARDS & BAD-ASSES last night! A special thanks to our gorgeous guest tellers, CERI and KEN!

We'll be back with four tales of motherhood, mothering and being mothered, with MOTHER MAY I? on 9th May at 7.30pm.

In the meantime, please enjoy the spring sunshine, stay safe, and keep telling stories!

Love, the Hags x

*LINE-UP ANNOUNCEMENT!*

Our second guest storyteller for BARDS & BAD-ASSES will be the lovely KEN LUXON! Ken has told for the Hags many times, both live at STORYPUB and on our StoryZOOMs, and we love his work. He tells tales regularly at The Raven, Bath and at La Ruca Story Cafe and loves to have a good time with tales and drinks, laughter and tears. Ken believes that the greatest stories tell us truths we need to hear and that the smallest tales can still get us through the day.

*LINE-UP ANNOUNCEMENT!*

Our first storyteller for BARDS & BAD-ASSES will be the brilliant CERI PHILLIPS. Ceri is an emerging storyteller based in Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire. Having worked in the media for over 15 years, he has decided to follow his true passion - telling stories. With a focus on Welsh Folk Tales, the Mabinogion, tales from the Industrial era and Urban Legends, Ceri hopes he can bring his passion for the ancient oral tradition of Wales to as wide an audience as possible.

Ceri is currently being mentored by Daniel Morden as part of Beyond the Border's New Voices Mentoring Programme and is working on a story show based on the poems of the medieval Welsh bards.
