grateful for this hot english summer and all the gorgeous blue skies. pretty sure i have consumed my weight in cider at this point!
it is been such a vibrant season full of fun projects, and my heart is so full seeing how many of you found your way to my page through the pebble cups. reading all your sweet messages asking how to get your hands on one honestly made my whole summer.
if you have been waiting to pick one up, i have some exciting news. i will be at the on September 12th, and i am bringing a whole table of pieces i have poured my heart into.
i have spent the last few weeks crafting sensory cups specifically designed to unlock the true flavor notes of your brew, and i am finally bringing back the coffee bean dosers that completely sold out last year. also! those super cute pebble cups are making a comeback in small, medium, and large sizes this time around!
i cant wait to catch up, chat all things coffee, and have you feel the textures of these pieces in person. please come say hi and hold them for yourself.

sunflowers stand for admiration, loyalty, light, and hope. always turning towards the sun, they remind us to follow our dreams with courage.

growing up in the concrete jungle of Hongkong, i never imagined that one day i would be living just a 30 minute drive away from a sunlit field of sunflowers. i can still vividly recall the day we walked through that sea of yellow, laughing without a care in the world.

inspired by that moment, i created the sunflower bowl. carving each petal gently by hand so that each of them is unique. a cozy little bowl for your favorite delicate treats, or to nestle your cherished everyday treasures.

recently i had the absolute pleasure of designing a commissioned order for the upcoming opening of Fenix Coffee in Bristol. Tiffany and Charlie are the sweetest barista couple! when they mentioned wanting organic earth tones, my mind immediately went to those rounded, gentle, and tactile river smoothed pebbles.
for the little espresso cups, i kept the interior smooth with a glossy white glaze so you can appreciate the rich hues of the coffee. the exterior features a sandy, velvety matte glaze, with extra thick wall designed so you can hold it with both hands and feel the comforting warmth.
the dessert plates are finished in a rich dark brown glaze, preserving the natural, organic flow of the glazing process to make sweet treats pop.
the matcha bowl is crafted from speckled clay and dipped in a newly developed breaking red glaze. it features a thoughtfully spout, ensuring not a single precious drop of matcha is wasted!

i can’t believe it has already been a month since moving into this new studio space. new pieces are coming out like crazy and i am so excited to introduce my brand new sunflower bowl
can’t wait to fire them!

had so much joy teaching different pottery classes lately. your ideas always inspire me, and i feel incredibly grateful to help you manifest them into real life. this is the loveliest Peter learning how to pull the clay

caught a quiet moment right after the rain to just enjoy the view from my studio entrance. yes, absolutely love it here

our firing patterns are getting better every single week. big boy jimmy and the kiln god have been treating me well

a little clip recorded by peter showing my throwing process. looking at myself on camera feels a bit weird, but hey, at least ive got steady hands

marble clay? first time. making a wide bowl? also a first time. love experimenting with new techniques.

had the most wonderful workshop the other day with two of the loveliest couples. this particular big bowl is actually a clay slab shaped right over anna’s pregnant belly! how beautiful is it to see them creating memories together?

recently i’ve started using a silk screen method to stamp my name onto my ceramics. it’s so much more efficient, tidy, and easy!

another piece of the happiest news this summer: we got a springer spaniel puppy! he is still just a baby, but you’ll definitely be seeing a lot more of him around the studio. watch out for those sharp little crocodile teeth though

introducing my new pottery studio ( clap clap!)

i have been settling into this new creative space for 3 weeks now, and honestly, i love it so much i have to pinch myself.

from having the absolute friendliest, warmest neighbors in the yard, to my quiet moments in the little courtyard with my acer tree, it already feels like home.

getting used to a new studio flow and working pattern always takes time, but everything has been running so smoothly, my heart is incredibly full.

soooo, i would very love to welcome you into this new chapter with me. the doors are open (almost every day), so please come visit!

guys, my first restaurant commission in bristol ! (clap clap!!)

i still remember when wangs reached out to me-i was holding my phone and literally screamed!

then we had a few meetings to map out exactly what they needed. we wanted the chilli oil and soy sauce to pool perfectly over their bowlman head, and the plate to be wide enough to hold both their sticky rice and woodear salad, while keeping the design clean and minimal.

i am spectacularly happy and grateful for this project. wangs has played such an important role in introducing the yummiest tastes of chinese food to bristol, and now they are using plates i made! (weeping)

so yeah, please go ahead and enjoy some chilli wontons over the heat! (and don’t worry, they have air conditioning!)

Big news!

I have been quiet because been busy behind the scenes setting up a brand new pottery studio (scream!!)

Three years ago when I landed Bristol from Hongkong, I spent some days walked past Christmas Steps and Colston Street, I just loved this area so much I had a little prayer that someday I would be here as well.

Today, I’m officially moving into a quiet yard just behind it. It feels like the universe brought me exactly where I have been praying for.

Expect plenty of handmade pottery and new pottery workshops coming your way this summer. Watch this space for our opening details!

Introducing my recent new colors of my Sensory Coffee Cups.
I’ve been diving deep into the chemistry of glazes lately, and I think I’ve finally found “the ones.”
A textured glaze with a touch of blue that reminds me of that quiet magic just before the night ends.
and Cracked Sand: A light, tactile finish inspired by my favorite moments of a wood fire.
Inside the cup I glazes them with a creamy, glossy finish. Not only does it create a beautiful contrast, but it allows you to truly see the clarity of your brew while maximizing every note of scent and taste.
