It’s with a heavy heart that the Joke and Mirrors Comedy Night on Mondays will be put on an immediate, indefinite hiatus. It’s important that we’re able to give our local and national comedians the best nights and compensation possible, and with the cost of living rapidly increasing, it’s become more challenging to gain the support our venue needs.

We’ve had a brilliant time with our wonderful hosts, Jasmine Darling and Capriella Monique — absolute gems of the Bristol circuit — and we’ll welcome them back with open arms when things pick up again.

If you were booked to perform on a future Monday, you’ll receive direct communication shortly regarding the cancellation.

Bank Holiday Special - House Magicians Early Early Comedy & Magic Show. (7pm - 8.30pm) Featuring Mr Smoke & Mirrors himself Mark Bennett - The Stand-Up Magician!

On entering Smoke & Mirrors you will be greeted by our in house close-up magician who will bamboozle you with great magic and our welcoming staff will be on hand to look after your drinks and food requirements.

At 6.40pm we will invite you to enter our 1920s style theatre seating just 40+ so it's cosy and the atmosphere is electric. Our theatre host will seat you at your table and take your interval drinks for you.

So once we have seated all our guests the show starts at 7pm with one of our House Comedy Magicians entertaining and wowing you for 90mins.

We pride ourselves in offering full-blown entertainment from the moment you walk through the door to when you leave, so feel free to arrive early or stay for a few drinks in the bar where one of our bar magicians will be on hand to entertain you at your table.
