This Taylor electro-acoustic came in with a very high action. I adjusted the top nut and neck, but to obtain a really good action I needed to bring the saddle lower than the top surface of the bridge. I cut slots into the bridge to bring the strings lower. Now plays cleanly with a great action.

This Epiphone acoustic came in with the bridge lifting on the bass side. Usually the bridge would need to be completely removed and both surfaces cleaned before re-gluing. In this case it was due to a complete lack of glue, so I could just work some in and clamp it up. Clarinet reeds are perfect for working glue into small spaces, and they make excellent shims!
