On March 11th, our headliner is Sunjay. Sunjay has a unique ability to craft equal parts sadness and humour into songs and stories alike. At 28 years old he seems to ​have the experience and wisdom of somebody much older. Though as he’s keen to point out, “That’s only because I’ve made so many mistakes...”.

He was a finalist in the 2012 BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award and has won many other awards. He has supported folk-rock band Steeleye Span and Kathryn Roberts & Sean Lakeman on tour. His new album, Black & Blues Revisited (the follow up to 2015’s Black & Blues) was released in October 2022.

The support act is Mark Darkside, a talented performer and songwriter, with his tribute to Victoria Wood.

Then, on 15th April, we welcome one of the biggest names in contemporary folk, Reg Meuross.

Come along this Saturday 11th February 2023 for a great night out with The Whiskey River Boys!

We're looking forward to welcoming back Martin Blake & Aidan Sheehan, performing as acoustic duo.

The Whiskey River Boys, playing Americana - Cajun, Zydeco, Good Country and Low Down Dirty Blues - swamp music from the wild Welsh frontier! Superb musicianship and singing, excellent variety, stylistically innovative and not least, great fun.

Last time, our high expectations were met in full -
with many years experience of performing, these guys really deliver the goods.

The support act is 'Discovery'. Jeff and Elaine Gillett perform a rich variety of songs, creating beautiful harmonies - and they have promised at least one Mike Scott song.

Hi everyone,
We're looking forward to the Redcatch Club next Saturday, October 8th, when we are welcoming The Lost Trades.

The Lost Trades are the result of three singer-songwriters performing together, playing modern folk rooted in three part harmony (harmonies which have consistently been compared to Crosby Stills & Nash and Fleetwood Mac).

Their debut album was released in June last year, and after playing live a good amount over the summer, it reached the Official Folk Albums Chart for September 2021, gaining a great deal of radio play from folk shows across the UK (including several BBC shows). Formed at the end of 2019, highlights so far are a sold out show at Chapel Arts in Bath, and support slot for Mark Chadwick at the Cheese and Grain, Frome.

The support act is Shozzo a Bristol-based acoustic trio comprising songwriter Shaun McCrindle (guitar and vocal), bouzouki and violin player John Slattery and double bass player James Anderson. They started playing together in 2020.

As usual, the performance starts at 7.45pm. There are still a couple of open mic slots available - contact Trevor as these have to be booked in advance (0117 9665514 or 07957 147464). Admission is £10 cash on the door, open mic £5 and we will be selling tea and coffee.
