Some shows live long in the memory of the Invisible Circus.

Twenty years after it first escaped the mud, magic and mayhem of Lost Vagueness, The Renegade Fabulon returns for one extraordinary night.
Coming to our new home, on Thursday 10 September we are resurrecting the anarchic circus cabaret that first put the company on the map.

This show became one of the defining productions of the UK’s alternative cabaret revival and we’re bringing together some of the most enduring and incredible new talent in circus to a former torpedo factory.

The Invisible Circus is about to reappear…

The return of the Renegade Fabulon! The name of our first Show that riproared it’s way around the world pulling together International performers from our decade of world travel and adventure and blazing the trail for alternative sideshow Cabaret across the UK festival scene and beyond. After its unruly birth in the mud mist and magic of Lost Vagueness at Glastonbury festival in 2002 to it’s final resting place in the ashes and dust of Burning Man in 2005 this Show made the Invisible Circus as much as the Invisible Circus made this show.

Inspired by the book geek Love by Katherine Dunn - worth a read!

After the loss of our home at Unit 15, it felt a fitting time for a revival of sorts as we prepare to rise Phoenix like from the ashes, within squatting distance of the old Homestead this show begins a new chapter at the Prospect building on feeder road.

A long time friend of the Circus and former GoGo Dancer no less for the one and only doug francisco as Shiza Minelli is back in town! with a dark and delightful as well as deep and meaningful Show for our times.
Let’s make it special and welcome him back to the Fabulous Mount without in style! 14-16th July.

Such a sad and terrible thing that after all that Unit 15 remains sat empty years later! Imagine all the creativity culture and fun that could have been generated not to mention Bristols most beloved circus not having been brought to the edge of ruin!

Good times! And worth noting as we pull ourselves up, dust ourselves down and prepare to rise phoenix like from the ashes one more (and possibly last) time!

Not sure how many more we have left in us after 20 years of setting up creative Havens from the industrial ruins, next one might have to be somewhere we can call home
