🎪 YardArts is putting on its very first MUNCH! With a slight twist on the traditional etiquette.... 😏 This is of course an 18+ event and ID will be required for proof of age upon entry.

As a Cinemunch event, we will first be screening the controversial 1972 classic 'Pink Flamingoes' 🦩 starring countercultural drag queen 'Divine'.

Doors open at 7pm, where you will have access to the cheapest bar in Bristol, fresh-cooked Paella straight from the pan popcorn and a range of other movie munchies! 🥘🍿🍻🥤🍫🧁🍦

🎥 After the movie, you will also be indulged by a sexy rope bunny & rigger. This is your chance to come along to a social gathering for people involved in or interested in kink, fe**sh, B**M etc. ⛓️ It's a great opportunity to socialise with others with similar interests and if you choose... play, in a safe space, watch a great movie and have the best night here at YardArts! 🫶🏼

Movie Synopsis:
Director John Waters breaks every rule of good filmmaking and good taste with his 1972 landmark cult classic, Pink Flamingos. Starring Divine, Mink Stole and Edith Massey (an ensemble cast like you wouldn’t believe), this underground epic sets a benchmark for the bizarre that has never been equaled. Divine, whose star is so big she can hardly fit in the role, is Babs Johnson, a trailer park bon vivant who proudly claims the title “The Filthiest Person Alive.” She’s the envy of every neighborhood degenerate and it isn’t long before another couple sets their sights on Divine’s legacy, in the proud American tradition, competition forces each contender to outdo the other. By the time the film reaches its final, unforgettable scene... well... just make sure you’ve already finished your popcorn.… 👀😅🍿💦

We are SO EXCITED about this!! 😝

It's a busy time - as we near the end of our filmmaking journey on 'A Sin De Fella Story' with director Sheryn Yidi telling the story of the circus community , of YardArts in Kingswood, Bristol. Really pleased to be working on the soundtrack, writing music all things jazz & blues! Look forward to announcing more news soon.

In this heartwarming documentary, we follow Christo "Sin de Fella," mistress of a caravan community and the driving force behind YardArts. Leaving her conservative mining town roots behind, Christo embraced her identity and cultivated a safe haven for a community of travellers and artists from all different backgrounds in the heart of Kingswood.

Bringing together the q***r community of Bristol, Christo makes sure every cabaret show is unforgettable. She keeps her head above water in spite of the bare minimum support offered to smaller arts organisations in Bristol. It's a story about fighting for one's place in the world and finding a family in the most unexpected places.
