So this happened yesterday... and what a fabulous time we all had!

It was an absolute honour to join the team at Berkeley Castle and join in with their celebrations of 70 years of being open to the public!

Spreading joy through singing is what we're all about and we hope we managed to spread a little joy for the visitors at Berkeley Castle yesterday! 🎶🕊

🎶 Just TWO weeks to go! 🎶

In just two weeks’ time, we’ll be singing our Summer Concert... EEEK!

We’ve been busy rehearsing, polishing our harmonies, and putting together a programme we can’t wait to perform. Whether you’ve heard us before or this will be your first Songbirds concert, we’d love to welcome you along.

We’ll be singing in the beautiful Chantry garden if the weather is kind, with an indoor venue ready just in case the British summer has other ideas! ☀️☔️

There are many ways to tell that a Songbirds concert is getting close...

🎵 The songs are coming together beautifully
🎵 The excitement is building amongst the girls
🎵 And JT has had her concert nails done! 💅🤣

Over the last few concerts, Jules has become known for turning up with nails to match the occasion. We've had blue sparkles, Christmas snowflakes, and now these beauties, which just happen to be a perfect match for our Songbirds T-shirts ahead of our Summer Concert. 💙

We're excited to be performing at Berkeley Castle this weekend as they celebrate 70 years of being open to the public! 🎉🏰

It's a wonderful opportunity for us to share some of the songs we'll also be performing at our own summer concert in just a couple of weeks' time, and we can't wait to sing in such a beautiful setting.

If you'd like to hear our full set, we'd love to welcome you to our concert at the end of the month . We'll be singing in The Chantry Community and Arts Centre garden if the sun is shining, with an indoor venue ready and waiting should the British summer decide otherwise! ☔️

Rain couldn’t dampen our PRIDE! 🌧️✨

Yesterday, some of the team headed out to Thornbury Pride to show our love and support for the LGBTQ+ community. 🏳️‍🌈

Despite the drizzly weather, we had an amazing day celebrating love, diversity, and inclusion—with a few delicious cocktails to keep us warm, of course! 🍹❤️

Pride isn't just a month or a single day; it’s about standing together every single day. We are so proud to support our local community! ✨🌈

Less than four weeks to go until our Summer Concert & Picnic.... EEK!

We'll be performing two concerts this year, at 11am and 3pm, and tickets are selling steadily. If you'd like to join us, we'd recommend booking soon.

Our Summer Concert & Picnic is one of the highlights of the Songbirds calendar. It's an opportunity to share the music we've been working on and to spend time together in a relaxed summer setting.

Songbirds is a women's choir built around community and a love of singing. Expect uplifting songs, rich harmonies and a warm welcome.

Bring a picnic, enjoy the music, and spend some time with friends & family in the beautiful Chantry garden.

Yesterday was Rachael's birthday, and the Songbirds ladies made sure she was treated like a queen for the evening.

There was cake, there were cards, and there was even a cheeky trip to the pub afterwards. 🍰🎉🍷

Moments like these are a reminder that Songbirds is about so much more than singing. We're a community of women who genuinely celebrate one another's successes, milestones and special moments.

What makes this group so special is that there's no fighting for the best solo lines, no trying to out-sing one another, and no competition for the spotlight. Just women supporting women, creating harmony in every sense of the word.

And when it comes to actual harmony... these women know a thing or two about that as well. Just listen to that final line of "Happy Birthday" and you'll hear exactly what we mean. 🎶

Last night was a special rehearsal as we practiced in the beautiful Chantry garden where our actual concert will be held.

The birds added to our harmonies and we were glad to be under the shade of the trees!

Tickets are still available for both our 11am and 3pm performances on Sunday 28th June… the setting and the harmonies are what makes our concerts truly special 🎶🕊️

One thing we really love at Songbirds is having a repertoire full of variety 🎶

From upbeat pop classics to soulful ballads and feel good favourites, we always try to put together a programme with something for everyone. And every now and then, a song becomes such a favourite with both our audiences and Songbirds members that we just have to bring it back!

Which is why we'll be singing Candyman again this year! This brilliant small group number was such a hit last time we performed it, and we’re so excited to be singing it again in our upcoming concert. It’s fun, full of energy, and always gets people smiling!
