🎶 Hana Stretton + WOOM
🏛️ Bristol Folk House
📆 13.09.26

Hana Stretton is a British-Australian music producer and composer, recognised for her singular, deeply distinctive sound. Her stunning debut, Soon, quickly became a beloved work within the experimental lo-fi community. Phil Elverum described her music as “mysterious, deep, resonant, inhabitable,” and his label PW Elverum & Sun went on to release the album in 2024.

Deeply connected to the natural world, Stretton’s work traces a vivid journey—from the dusty Australian bushland of Soon to the Pacific Ocean on her forthcoming LP, tiarn. Set for release this year, the new record takes an unexpected cinematic turn, weaving together classical and electronic influences.

WOOM is a three-piece vocal led band consisting of Alice Barlow, Lara Laeverenz and Isobel Risk. Celebrated for their non-hierarchical collaborative structure, the group creates harmony-led vocal music that blends experimental songwriting with exploratory production and immersive performance.

Their latest EP, To Slow You (2025), received critical acclaim from The Guardian, Crack Magazine, Rolling Stone, BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio 3, amongst others. The release marks a deepening of the group’s creative process, with WOOM writing, producing and shaping the project entirely in-house, from songwriting, production, visual artwork and music video direction.

Drawing from a wide range of genres and influences, WOOM’s live performances are immersive and spellbinding, offering audiences a sense of care, solidarity and the power of collective harmony and storytelling.

🎶 HENGE
🏛️ The Trinity Centre
📆 13.03.27

Attention Humans! This is HENGE.

We are not from this world.

We bring you music from distant planets.

We offer this gift for the edification of humankind… so that eventually your species may put an end to war and set up new homes in space.

HENGE return to Trinity Bristol for a huge evening party plus a special afternoon Family Matinee!
Extra-terrestrial joymongers HENGE have been delighting audiences across the UK and Europe since landing on Planet Earth over a decade ago. Their scintillating live performances earned them ‘Best Live Act’ at the Independent Festival Awards. With four acclaimed albums and their own comic book series expanding the HENGE mythos, they continue to spread their message of unity and joy wherever they touch down.

Their latest album, Journey to Voltus B, expands their intergalactic mythology with a conceptually ambitious release that features a novel twist - a double-groove vinyl pressing that offers two possible endings, depending on where the needle lands. The album has received glowing reviews, sold out headline shows across the UK and Europe, and earned radio support from BBC 6 Music tastemakers including Stuart Maconie, Deb Grant, and Craig Charles.

The music escapes definition, but occupies a space between rave and prog rock that nobody knew existed. It is energetic, subversive and invigoratingly playful, jovially going ‘where no one has gone before’. Ultimately, HENGE are spreading a message of hope which leaves audiences feeling amused and uplifted in equal measures.
Please Note: The Afternoon Family Matinee will take place from 3-5pm and the Evening show will be from 8pm

🎶 The Rheingans Sisters
🏛️ Bristol Folk House
📆 14.11.26

Previous winners of BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for ‘Best Original Track’ and nominees for ‘Best Band’, with their uniquely blended sound of fiddles, voices, feet, banjos, guitar, synths and the powerful bass drones of the medieval tambourin à cordes, The Rheingans Sisters are one of the most visionary acts on the British folk scene today.

The Rheingans Sisters’ last album Start Close In,received enthusiastic critical acclaim, celebrated at  #2 in The Guardian’s Top 10 Albums of 2024: “it’s clear that the Rheingans Sisters have made their boldest album yet”. MOJO Magazine called it “joyous” and Trad Folk described it as “experimental and brave and genuinely magical”.

Produced by New York based Adam Pietrykowski (whose genre-diverse work spans rock, contemporary classical and prog folk) the visionary duo’s current work is “wildly expressive; at the forefront of the recent upsurge in experimental, drone-led folk” (KLOF).

The sisters’ live show is an immersive and uplifting musical journey. Taking in baroque fiddle tunes and trance beats, metal-inspired arrangements of traditional ballads and improvisations with voicenotes, Rowan and Anna once again make music like painters; revealing in bold colours the next soaring chapter in their unmistakable brand of avant-garde trad, blending ancient song and universal stories with future imaginings, dystopias and dreams.

“A radical leap into darkness” - The Guardian, Folk Album of the Month

“Gorgeous, vivid songwriting” - Mark Radcliffe, BBC Radio

“A meditative look at the world around us” - Morning Star

“It’s the Rheingans Sisters: expect the unexpected” - Songlines Magazine

🎶 Elanor Moss - The Knife, The Needle Tour 2026
🏛️ The Jam Jar
📆 07.10.26

Off the back of tours with the likes of Foxwarren (Andy Shauf), Flyte, and Christian Lee  Hutson, Elanor Moss releases debut album The Knife, The Needle via Merge Records.  Recorded live to tape over the course of two days, the album evokes the starkness of artists  such as Sibylle Baier, and the poetic sensibilities of psych-folk greats before her. A strange  and shadowy record of quiet epiphanies.

“Oh and the way that it feels To know you
Oh and the way it reveals
I don’t know you”

So begins “The Way That It Feels,” the concluding track of Elanor Moss’ debut full-length  album The Knife, The Needle, out August 21, 2026 on Merge Records. In two couplets, sung  over birdsong and Moss’ classical guitar, she manages to capture an entire universe created  in the bond between two people. The couplets mirror each other and hang, like a veil, over  the rest of the song. Regardless of time, intimacy, love, tenderness, and the way those  things can change a person and a relationship, there is, she asserts, an immutable fact to  these things: that whatever she learns from them, there will always be something  unknowable just beyond.

‘With shades of Joanna Newsom’s dynamic originality, Elanor Moss has a stark subtlety that  bowls you over in its intensity.’- CLASH

‘The biggest secret weapon in British folk right now” - Far Out Magazine

📣 NEW SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT! 📣

🎶 Sam Brookes
🏛️ The Forge
📆 25.09.26

Sam Brookes is reminiscent of Tim Buckley as he glides between the lower and upper  registers of his four-octave range. His pure voice, evocative lyrics and soaring melodies  have cemented him as a respected figure in the alt-folk scene as an artist & collaborator.

Inspired by the British and American folk revivalists of the 60’s, a sixteen-year-old Brookes began to write and perform while training as a gilder in his late father’s workshop.

Brookes had begun to receive serious critical recognition when he self-released album,  Kairos, being acclaimed by The Independent as one of the stand-out records of 2014 and tipped for the mercury nomination.

The past couple of years has seen Brookes collaborate with artist & producer Pete Josef, releasing music as Supalung.

‘Black Feathers’ released in 2020 was produced by Grammy-nominated producer Dom  Monks (Big Thief, Laura Marling, Nick Cave). Brookes was accompanied by a wealth of  talented musicians, which included Ethan Johns, Neil Cowley, Nick Pini, Daisy Palmer,  Sam Sweeney & Rob Pemberton.

Following the release of ‘Black Feathers’, the title track has recently been used in Sky’s biggest original Series  ‘The Day on the Jackal’ starring Eddie Redmayne. Music Supervised by Emmy-Nominated Catherine Greeves (Baby Reindeer, Killing Eve)

“There are vast emotional reserves at work reminiscent of the great Tim Buckley” -  The Independent

“Nothing really prepares you for Sam Brookes... he is a national treasure” -  Folk Radio

“He excels at propulsive, narratively rich folk, delivered in a soaring, clear-as-a-bell singing voice” -  The Sunday Times

This Tuesday at we are so fortunate to be welcoming and .moss to play in the shadow of Corfe Castle

03/06/2026

Join us for at on Wednesday 22 July!

The Spooky Men’s Chorale is a magnificent, many-headed beast which has single-handedly turned the world of men’s singing upside down. Bypassing well trodden avenues, they carve out new territories of mighty man sounds, exquisite tenderness, and charming stupidity to both celebrate masculinity and mock it.

Formed in New South Wales in 2001, the Spooks have become rock-solid festival and theatre favourites in Australia, UK and Europe, with seven albums and 900 gigs under their belts. No subject is too trivial or weighty for their attention, and such ability to find new musical rooms to explore contributes greatly to their astonishing fan loyalty.

The show evokes musical worlds far beyond that suggested by their unassuming, casually hatted, black-clad appearance. They are just a bunch of blokes, but where they take you will blow your mind.
