🎶 Finding Ways
🏛️ Strange Brew
📆 13.10.26

Sebastian Rochford is a singular force in British music, an extraordinary drummer, composer, and producer. His work with the iconic group Polar Bear helped redefine the boundaries of jazz and earned multiple Mercury Prize nominations. With a career spanning collaborations with Patti Smith, Damon Albarn, Brian Eno, Adele and Grace Jones, and his 2023 ECM duo album A Short Diary with Kit Downes, an album written for his father described as a “ quiet masterpiece” , Rochford has carved out a unique space in contemporary music.

Finding Ways, his new major project, marks a bold new chapter for Seb Rochford. The first album focuses on the guitar, featuring among others, the dynamic lineup of Tara Cunningham, David Preston, Adrian Utley (Portishead), and Simon Tong(The Verve, Gorillaz), exploring various combinations and layering up to three guitars at once. The result is a striking blend of jagged experimental grooves and raw emotional depth, with an unaffected, pedal-less sound that evokes a timeless, exploratory edge. Rochford’s music, as ever, defies categorisation—a sound that feels alive, fractured, and profoundly human, and all mixed by the singular talent and master of sound, Tchad Blake.

The title Finding Ways refers to a frame of mind he chose to adopt after multiple significant life events happening in a small amount of time. “It’s about finding ways to keep ourselves moving forward and buoyant, transforming life’s challenges into something meaningful, also in a practical, everyday type of way.

In Finding Ways, it’s direct, energetic music that refuses to be boxed in, a reflection of Seb Rochford’s trailblazing spirit. For fans of his previous work and newcomers alike, this album is a testament to his ongoing quest to find emotional truth in sound.

Off the back of tours with the likes of Foxwarren (Andy Shauf), Flyte, and Christian Lee  Hutson, Elanor Moss releases debut album The Knife, The Needle via Merge Records.  Recorded live to tape over the course of two days, the album evokes the starkness of artists  such as Sibylle Baier, and the poetic sensibilities of psych-folk greats before her. A strange  and shadowy record of quiet epiphanies.

“Oh and the way that it feels To know you
Oh and the way it reveals
I don’t know you”

So begins “The Way That It Feels,” the concluding track of Elanor Moss’ debut full-length  album The Knife, The Needle, out August 21, 2026 on Merge Records. In two couplets, sung  over birdsong and Moss’ classical guitar, she manages to capture an entire universe created  in the bond between two people. The couplets mirror each other and hang, like a veil, over  the rest of the song. Regardless of time, intimacy, love, tenderness, and the way those  things can change a person and a relationship, there is, she asserts, an immutable fact to  these things: that whatever she learns from them, there will always be something  unknowable just beyond.

‘With shades of Joanna Newsom’s dynamic originality, Elanor Moss has a stark subtlety that  bowls you over in its intensity.’- CLASH

‘The biggest secret weapon in British folk right now” - Far Out Magazine

📣 NEW SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT! 📣

🎶 Shovel Dance Collective - Everything in Readiness Tour
🏛️ The Mount Without
📆 18.02.27

The nine members of Shovel Dance Collective are united by a passion for the beauty, force and political charge of traditional music. Together their practice has emerged as a patchwork of fragments, traditional material sewn together and embroidered with their own ever-deepening group improvisations, explorations of field recordings, and concrète style tape manipulation.
Their arrangements emphasise the inviting, hopeful and human qualities of folk, and they channel the joy and sadness held in these collaboratively-shaped words and melodies. Balancing dense orchestration with intense fragility, the patchwork is threaded with a deep sense of the way in which traditional music carries the voices of all those who have gone before, the oppressed and those who, through their labour, create the wealth of the world.

We are thrilled to be bringing one of the most irrepressible live performers to a run of shows across Southern England and Wales!

For a decade and a half, Grace Petrie has been one of the UK’s most urgent and passionate songwriters. Characterised by razor-sharp lyricism and the unmistakable passion of her stage presence, her live shows have become synonymous for fans with a unique atmosphere of hope and solidarity, while the LGBTQ anthem Black Tie has racked up 1.5 million streams and provided the soundtrack of expression for young q***r folks all over the world.

In 2026 she is exploring the stripped back nature of folk songwriting once again, performing a show in two halves that encompasses both an intimate solo set and a career-retrospective full band performance featuring songs from across her sixteen-year catalogue.

📣 NEW SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT! 📣

🎶 Sheelanagig & Buffo’s Wake
🏛️ The Trinity Centre
📆 20.11.26

Double Head Clash of the biggest stomping European folk bands from Bristol & Brighton at Trinity Bristol

Sheelanagig have been whipping up a storm of foot-stomping, roof-raising, high-energy live folk for nigh on twenty years. With an arsenal of strings, soaring flute, pounding drums and a sprinkle of fairy dust they spin melodies that have set feet flying all across the globe. Their shows are a heady mix of raucous dance medleys and thoughtfully crafted original pieces feverishly brimming with fire, flair and finesse. Floors tremble and windows rattle in their presence; these rapturous minstrels are not to be missed under any circumstance.
Drawing deep from a bountiful well of European folk traditions, from medieval melodies to modern grooves, from baroque to folk-rock, Sheelanagig’s irresistible alchemy makes it impossible to stand still. Their infectious energy and mischievous stagecraft are matched only by their impeccable musicianship—delighting festival crowds and intimate venues Alike.

‘What a joy…a good night out guaranteed’ – Mark Radcliffe, BBC Radio 2

Buffo’s Wake is a 20 legged monstrosity, hatched in the murky backwater of Brighton, UK. Armed with an extravagant brass section, accordions, clarinets, violins and buckets full of bravado they waltz, tango, mosh and pogo their way through a vast array of influences from Eastern European folk tunes, Balkan brass bands and Slavic murder ballads, to punk rock and dark cabaret; telling tales of debauchery, disturbed nightmares and even more disturbing realities, with an unexpected nous for untold stories and unusually considered lyrics – when you can understand them, anyway.

A collective of musical misfits, drawn from a range of diverse backgrounds; Drum ‘n’ Bass DJs confront classical strings, DIY punks debate jazz obsessives, and introverted poets showdown with obnoxious showmen. Its a gloriously inconsistent mix of influences and personalities that will defy your expectations – unpredictable, chaotic and utterly engrossing.
