Why should you try 1-1 tuition for your child or yourself!
If you’ve ever said “I used to love art, but I’m just not confident anymore,” you’re definitely not alone.
Over the years of teaching, I’ve met so many lovely people who stopped drawing or painting because life got busy, confidence wobbled, or someone once told them they “weren’t good at art.” (Spoiler: that’s never true!) I am often also asked to help young artists in primary and secondary school gain more confidence when creating their own art or developing their portfolio for GCSE.
That’s one of the main reasons I started offering one-to-one art tuition in addition to our group tuition sessions.
Here are 4 reasons that one to one tuition may be for you or your child...
💛 Time and Space That’s All Yours
In a one-to-one session, there’s no rush and no pressure to keep up with anyone else. You can take things at your own pace, ask questions freely, and explore what you genuinely enjoy.
Maybe you want to get back into painting for relaxation, build confidence for GCSE Art, or just have some creative “you time.” Whatever your reason, I’ll tailor each session to fit you — your pace, your goals, and your style.
🌿 Rebuilding Confidence, One Brushstroke at a Time
One of my favourite parts of teaching is seeing someone’s face light up when they realise, “I actually made that!” That little spark of pride is huge — and it’s where confidence starts to grow again.
☕ A Calm, Supportive Space to Create
Whether we’re meeting online or in person, I’ll make sure our sessions feel relaxed and enjoyable. Mistakes? We welcome them! They’re often where the best creative discoveries happen.
You don’t need any fancy materials or experience — just curiosity and a willingness to have a go. I’ll help you with whatever area of art you’d like to explore, from drawing and watercolour to mixed media or clay.
