Our enjoyable workshops offer children the chance to develop their drawing, painting and sculpture skills in an encouraging, non-judgemental environment. With only 4% of the school year dedicated to art, we provide budding artists with valuable time to explore the work of different artists and to try different techniques. A parent recently said thank you for giving her son confidence that he can ‘

do art’ and another said she was particularly impressed by the way we ‘recognise and promote the children’s individuality’. We don’t assess the children’s artwork to an expected standard as we recognise that the art world is varied and what matters is the freedom to express ourselves without fear of judgement. Sketchbook Adventures is a course for the whole family and is open for enrollment at midday Weds 5th August

Learn how to build your own confidence in art using a sketchbook.

Includes:

• 3 live drawing workshops
• Access to all future live classes when course is launched again
• Over 30 video lessons
• No time limit to complete
• Suitable for age 5-adult (why not do it together?)

Is there a replay if I miss a class?

Yes there will be a replay of the live classes available (I do not record participants)

When do I access the pre-recorded lessons?

You will gain access to all 30+ pre-recorded lessons the moment you enroll.

- These are yours to keep so run out of time this summer? Do in the winter!
(no time limit to complete)

What age is it or?

These workshops are suitable for anyone who wants to draw from age 5 to teenagers to adults. All are welcome :)

What will we learn?

We will learn different art skills and how to discover your own creative ideas. This is not a step by step class and we encourage everyone to create something unique. We do provide guidance and help along the way.

What resources do I need?
-pencils
-pens
-sketchbook or paper
-anything else you want to use including paint if you wish but not essential
(You could do the whole course with pencils!)

Is the price per child or family?

It was £64, however as you attending our free classes, you get it for just £48 per family (not per child)

Is there a time limit to complete it?

There is no time limit to complete. You can also attend any other live classes offered as part of the course in the future for free.

Join us for some free art workshops on funny cartoons and creative drawing on the 4th and 5th August at either 10am, 1pm or 5pm (UK Time)

"I just wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you for your courses this week. My daughter and I have loved doing them together. I’m a keen drawer but my daughter is much more critical of herself and her skills. It was therefore really encouraging for her to hear you say not to worry about making mistakes and that artists do it all the time. By the end of the second course she proudly had the camera on and was shown her work to the screen. Thank you! As a former secondary school teacher, and someone who currently works with teenagers with special needs, I know how important it is to be enthusiastic, engaging and also relaxed and sensitive at the same time. "They respond so well to your teaching style, particularly the fact that you are not prescriptive, and they are not expected to do step by step drawing. (I'm sure you know how demoralising that can be for kids when they struggle to get it 'right'.)

The positive messaging that you provide is really effective. The reminders about there being no such thing as bad art; the fact that people work at different paces; that it's fine to stick with the first section when the class moves on to the second section; and the encouragement to go off on a tangent if you have a different idea. These may seem like small things, but this holistic approach is so nurturing and provides a great environment for exploring and experimenting."
