Also a huge thanks to .holla.wayo for the opportunity and for the speed hanging expertise ⭐️💥

I’m finally able to share my Gromit sculpture ‘Rosebud’ for ! A very big moment for me - like many I grew up being completely captivated by the handcrafted and complex simplicity of . With their work opening my eyes to different creative pathways and the fact that with dedication, playfulness and an open mind, a creative career could actually be a possibility for me.

For the third iteration of Gromit Unleashed, the sculptures celebrate the cinema that has inspired the films. Rosebud is based on the iconic single-word line from the opening scene of Citizen Kane, spoken on Kane’s deathbed and sparking the mystery at the heart of the film. Spoiler alert - it’s the name of his childhood sledge, which is also referenced in Wallace and Gromit’s A Grand Day Out (which happens to be my all time favourite episode). Swipe for reference images and a clip from the film.

The sculpture trail will run from the 30th of June until the 31st of August and will be auctioned off later in the year. All proceeds go towards charity who do amazing work supporting sick children and their families.

It was a wonderful experiencing the buzz in the paint space and meeting the other artists, all producing incredible work. I can’t wait to see Rosebud and the other sculptures out and about in the wild!

Rosebud will be sponsored by AJ Homes and will be located in BS36.

Here’s a fun project I worked on back in March for graphic design studio . It was great to be given a fairly open brief for this one but creating a mural for a room full of creatives was initially a daunting prospect! Thanks to everyone at Episode Two for being so welcoming and accommodating whilst I loomed over the space on a wobbly scaff tower!

Also, a big shout out to an anonymous sponsor who left me a pot of money to use at . I’m beyond grateful for the support and it has allowed me to build a collection of pens, some of which I was able to use in this project. ✨✨

Finally getting around to sharing this big project I was lucky enough to work on over the winter for the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution’s () bicentenary! The nine panels are located in the historic Parade Gardens in Bath, the design explores the history of the Institution which was founded in 1824.

The work was created digitally and printed onto large sheets of aluminium by .

The mural was unveiled on the 21st of January alongside a series of lectures and other events to celebrate 200 years since the inaugural lecture in 1825.

A huge thank you to and who were wonderful to work with throughout the project.

My art nouveau inspired honeysuckle piece for last month. Thanks for having me, I had a great time adding a bit of colour to Weston-Super-Mare amongst some very talented artists! ✨

The idea for this piece started a year ago after being fascinated with the idea of witches and who the women on trail actually were - usually wise women who had old knowledge that the church/patriarchy deemed a threat.
I approached with my ideas and research and asked if she wanted to collaborate and introduce some text. She found the word ‘scapegoat’ stuck out.
I was very interested in how women and in particular post reproductive women have been and still are used as a scapegoat. Back in the 1600s women were blamed for things such as crop failure and disease for a variety of things such as having facial marks or moles, having too much or too little money or having no children or too many children etc. Arguably today we see it in cancel culture and how women are still treated with more contempt than their male counterparts (Johnny Depp and Amber Heard).
I could write a whole essay about this, maybe one day I will!
The image is based on the woodcut print, Witches by Hans Baldung 1508.
The mural was painted at a paint jam for open studios a couple of weeks ago. The piece sits next to .artspace and

A fun three way collab with .fay and .holla.wayo last month in sunny Barcelona 🌞🌞
Painted at Les Tres Xemeneies (The Three Chimneys) a great location with a lovely atmosphere all thanks to which allows artists to book out legal walls via an app (catch up Bristol pls).

Myself and .fay focused mainly on the portraits whilst .holla.wayo worked her magic creating the surrounding colourful shapes. I really enjoyed going back to my roots and indulging in some portraiture again.

An injection of colour for ‘s grey sports hall. The colourful triangles are based on their branding.

This project, which is probably my largest to date was full of lots of firsts; painting at height, using a cherry picker, creating precise stencils (thanks .holla.wayo) and taping/spraying straight lines diagonally across corrugated metal.

This one was a big challenge but grateful to have got through it with the support of and the lovely team at the .

In time the large side will be painted white and the YMCA’s tagline ‘driven by the good we do’ will feature on the large green triangle round the corner.

More big projects please!

Mine and .fay ‘s experimental piece for the and collab at .ales a few weeks back!

I put in the groundwork with the shapes at the bottom and Tash responded with the figure. I gave her the word ‘bloom’ as a prompt and she ran with it. Very happy with how this one turned out and keen to collaborate more✨

Thanks again to who created some beautiful work in our little painting cage out of the rain. What a fun and silly day we had!

Thanks for having us and .ales 💛
