Have had some really great letters of support for The Looking Glass. The building is up for lease from Bristol City Council. I am putting a proposal in. It needs a lot of love and it may well go to the highest bidder. It's worth a good shot. We would love to bring back a fresh & creative space to this historic building that has always been a special place for us. We left in good faith to keep a good relationship with BCC as it was in the process of being sold but it has remained empty all this time. If you would like to get involved (funding/Investors are needed) and help make some magic happen agiain please get in contact or send a letter of support before this Friday to [email protected]

Dear Friends of The Looking Glass and all those that enjoyed this space!

There are some stirrings and mummering’s and there may well be another Looking II in a new and exciting way. Everything hangs in the balance over the next few weeks.
For all those that enjoyed your time in the building and would like to see it come into a fruition again I ask if you would kindly take 5 minutes out of your day to email us a quick letter of support stating:
* What you enjoyed about the place?
* What it brought to Bristol and the city centre?
* Why you would like to see it again?

And for us personally what you would like to see added/more of this time?

So we will be saying a fond farewell to The Looking Glass tonight for our final night and then tomorrow we begin an epic 2 day de-rig to store all our gear. Come and join us for a farewell drink!

TONIGHT is our last night at 39-40 High Street and we are celebrating and saying a fond farewell with BLITZ PARTY! @ The Looking Glass

For our final evening at the wonderful Looking Glass we are celebrating the history of the building and turning this art deco building in to a music thronging, foot stomping, dance swinging, cocktail pouring, piano tinkling all out Speak-Easy!!!
