7 REASONS "NOT" TO TRY ZUMBA

🙄People get obsessed. First you’re hesitantly trying a Zumba class, then you’re doing several classes a week, attending community events, buying the clothes & proclaiming your Zumba love from the rooftops. What is this, a cult or something? Apathy is way less tiring.

👩‍👩‍👧‍👧It’s not solitary. Good luck standing in the back, getting your workout done & going home without speaking to anybody. This dance party emboldens even the most introverted to (air😉) hug total strangers! Yikes!

💃Your body will betray your expectations. So much for your reliable tight hips & immobile torso; after a few Zumba classes you find yourself shimmying in the supermarket, trying out belly dance videos & starring in the local salsa night.

🤩Your clothes won’t fit anymore. Start saving now, because you may just find yourself a little leaner soon.

🎶Music won’t be the same. You may find yourself doing car-eography to top radio hits, or maybe you’ll even seek out so many Latin, African, Indian (etc) tunes that YouTube starts serving you commercials in another language.

🌈Explosions of colour may start appearing in your wardrobe. The standard body camouflage of black & grey eventually gives way to lime green, bright pink, tassels, bells & metallic stripes & you might not even notice it’s happening!

🥳Worst of all, it’ll make you feel so ridiculously happy. You’ll look back at all those years without Zumba & wonder what you were thinking! No one needs that kind of regret in their life.

First class of the year and it was lovely to be back dancing with you all- if you are considering joining a class please feel free to contact me and read the latest review from one of our class members:

‘I have just been to my first Zumba class of 2022 and it was great to be back. I have been going to Sally Ellis’ Zumba class at the Beechwood Club, Fishponds for over 10 years and I enjoy it as much now as when I started. It is great fun and apart from keeping you in shape physically it also benefits your mental wellbeing.
Sally is a great teacher and her routines are set to some brilliant music. It is a very friendly and very supportive group and It doesn’t matter if you’ve never tried Zumba before you can do it at your own pace.
The classes are held on Monday and Friday mornings starting at 9.30am. So, come and join us – you know you want to!

So along with a couple of new choreos I changed our cooldown stretch song to time after time......unwittingly knowing it is now the Christmas advert for McDonalds - Now I usually use a Christmas advert song for our stretch but never a fast food one oh well
