Lissie's Poems Painting Pictures with words from the heart 💜 So I have sat down and gone through my poems and started to compile an anthology of my own poems.

This last year has been a tough one, not just for me but all sole traders and crafters, especially with no markets or craft events. this I plan to self publish. Poetry is a passion of mine and has helped to keep me going through this terrible pandemic. Acorstic Name Verses are one of my favourite poetry genres and make unique and personal gift ideas. I have also continued to create my Friendship

Waking up to bright sun rays
brings a smile to my heart
for it's a new beginning, new adventures
let my soul hold new memories
for my old age with love

This is free, friendly, fun and a self-guided weekend that invites you to explore homes, studios, cafes, pubs, gardens and community spaces across BS5. You can meet local artists and crafters, discover new places and enjoy the creative energy of this neighbourhood 🎨

Happy Friday 🌻

A little positivity is a wonderful way to begin the day along with wearing a smile too 😃 Autumn`s colours are creeping through nature and inspiring amazing images for us to enjoy 🍂🍁

Smile, it`s Autumn

Autumn, such a fantastic season
filled with many vibrant colours
from orange, brown, red and yellow
with trees dressed up in colourful coats
busy squirrels stock up there larder
nights are drawing in and colder
Mother Natures shares her bounty
Autumn gets us every time it arrives!

I love penguins, they`re so cheeky and comical, a visit to Torquay`s Living Coasts Aquarium and Zoo many years ago inspired this poem 🐧

Penguins

These cheeky little feathery chappies
in smart black jackets they waddle
among the boulders on the shore edge
before gathering together in a huddle

Penguins are amazing creatures
who love to toboggan down a slope
slithering down on their stomachs
than back again, they don't need a rope!

they're so comical and friendly
diving down and splashing around
confidently swimming through water
masters of the ocean, they've been crowned.

flapping their wings while waddling along
watch these handsome penguins go
amazing flightless aquatic birds
come by and visit them and say hello!

Good morning ✨️

Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are, rather like a steaming hot cuppa to warm us up at the start of each day 🤗☕️

Running a few errands with my daughter this morning, followed by a hot chocolate (my reward! 🏅) Then its back to working on some poetry and more seasonal stock 🧡🍂

Hello September 🌻

Welcome to the start of autumn, a season of amazing colours as the trees put on a wonderful fashion show before winter comes knocking on the door. 🍂🍁🍂

Start of Autumn 🍁🍂

September rumblings
autumn`s now on its way
warmth slowly leaving the sun
cold blue skies here to stay

shorter day and longer night
colourful dawns and sunset hues
weather`s unpredictable
time to find waterproof shoes

bright colours on the trees
they`re changing their attire
orange, reds and yellows
summer can now retire

it`s like another world
low lying misty mornings
everything is shrouded
sending winter warnings

crunchiness under foot
and a bite in the air
wrap up now and stay warm
it`s time to take good care

September's a great month
marks a change in the year
for earth start to sleep
as winter will soon be here..

Good morning

It's the start of a new week, full of wonder, mystery and adventure. Don't fear Mondays, embrace all the new opportunities that appear and make the most of each one!

Thought I'd share my latest Friendship Bear, he looks so smart but doesn't have a name yet. What would you call him?

I'm continuing with a poem and some more mini bears for market. First a cuppa and snuggle with Little Jay 🐾☕️
