We are looking for 3 volunteers to join our team to support our summer drama sessions for children aged 5 – 11.

Monday 3 August – Thursday 6 August
9.30am – 3.30pm

Over the course of 4 days the children will devise stories and create artwork, play games and make food.

Volunteers will help support the young people to engage with activities, provide practical support for participants and the creative team and help with set up and pack down.

Volunteering with us offers an opportunity to gain experience of working with children in a community setting alongside our experienced team of facilitators and assistants.

No experience is necessary, but we do ask that all volunteers are available for the full 4 days.

If you are interested in volunteering, please complete our Volunteer Expression of Interest form - link on this page: https://www.travellinglighttheatre.org.uk/jobs-volunteer-listings/volunteer-summer-drama-sessions

Deadline 10am, Tuesday 9 June. For more information, please e-mail Ali, [email protected]

Last Sunday, our Artistic Director Lizzy Stephens and our Chair of Trustees Selina Orrell took part in the Bristol 10K run to fundraise for our Youth Theatre campaign.

Thanks to their incredible efforts, they have raised nearly £1,000 towards the target, with more donations still coming in.

With recent kind donations from The Gibbs Trust, John James Bristol Foundation and The Society of Merchant Venturers, we are now halfway towards the £30,000 target.

Feeling inspired? This summer, take on a personal challenge to support our Youth Theatre. You could run, cycle, swim, dance, host a cake sale or organise a social fundraiser like a dinner party or film night.

Head to our fundraising page and simply click 'I want to fundraise for this' to get started. Every penny counts! Thank you for the support: https://donorbox.org/tl-30k-youth-theatre-fundraiser

A joyful couple of evenings before the Easter break as our Youth Theatre groups shared their performances with family and friends.

It was a moment to come together and celebrate the creativity and imagination of our Youth Theatre members and the team of artists who support them.

We're excited to welcome back our youth theatre groups this week for a new term. We have places available in our 6-9's group for new members - they meet weekly during term time on Wednesdays, 4.30-5.30pm.
