the majestic glorpus (also known as the giraffe catfish, or ✨bubu✨) is a species of catfish found throughout the lakes and rivers of Africa. You better believe its penchant for gobbling up plants from the river bed makes it one of the top glubbers you can find in our aquarium 💙🐟💙

This Sunday is an Even Calmer Day at Bristol Aquarium.

Our dedicated Even Calmer days create a more relaxing sensory experience for any customers who may need it. We will be turning off our music, and children’s rides to reduce any unexpected noises. We also increase our lighting in some of our darker areas throughout the day to create a more consistent sensory experience throughout the aquarium.

For a full list of our Even Calmer Days for the rest of the year visit the accessibility page on our website.

🐟 We joined up with Bristol Zoo Project to try and help find the perfect pairing for the loneliest fish in the world, their Konia eisentrauti cichlid!

They launched a global search to find a match for this Critically Endangered cichlid after discovering that they have the only recorded individual in accredited zoos worldwide!

If you are a zoo, aquarium or a specialist fish shop who has a Konia eisentrauti cichlid please get in touch with Bristol Zoo Project to help them out 💙
