π¬ NEW FEATURE FILM MUSIC BRIEF JUST ADDED!
Weβre currently curating a playlist of 80s-inspired Rock, Synth-Pop / New Wave & Retro Production Music for a feature film opportunity connected with Freaky Deaky.
Set against the overindulgent, neon-drenched world of 1985 Hollywood and the Sunset Strip, the film gives us a really distinctive musical direction to work with.
Weβre focusing on three main lanes:
πΈ Sunset Strip Rock / Glam / Arena Rock:
Big guitars, gated snares, huge toms, swagger, attitude and larger-than-life mid-80s Hollywood energy.
πΉ Synth-Pop / New Wave / Neon Electronic:
Pulsing synth bass, analogue-style textures, bright digital keys, arpeggiators, drum machines and late-night Hollywood atmosphere.
π¬ Retro Film Score / 80s Production Cues:
Cinematic instrumentals inspired by classic 80s scoring β electronic tension, neon noir, driving synth cues, montage music and emotional retro score.
Think big, flashy, rebellious, glamorous, neon and cinematic, with chorus-heavy guitars, shredding solos, gated drums, analogue synths and strong melodic hooks.
Instrumentals and production-music cues are especially encouraged, although strong vocal tracks are also welcome where they convincingly capture the period and production aesthetic.
Weβre also very open to modern tracks that reinterpret classic 80s sounds rather than simply recreating vintage recordings.
