Heard the story about the spider? 🕸️🕷️

So, in the story, as the Choctaw people felt lost, an elder, sitting by the fire, called them together. He told them that, even in their confusion, they must look to the spider, Nokó, who spun a web from the very center of the earth to the stars above. The elder said that every night, they should watch for the spider’s web and follow its strands. By doing so, they would learn patience—because the web takes time—and resilience—because it never breaks under the wind. And so, step by step, the Choctaw people followed the web, learning balance, finding home, and knowing they were never truly alone.

Sleep well 💤
Dream better.....

A scorpion needs to cross a deep river but cannot swim. It spots a frog and asks the amphibian to carry it across on its back. The frog hesitates, pointing out that the scorpion could easily sting it.The scorpion argues logically: "If I sting you, we will both die. I cannot swim, so I will drown too."The frog is convinced by this reasoning, agrees, and lets the scorpion onto its back. However, halfway across the river, the scorpion raises its stinger and strikes the frog. As both begin to sink into the water, the dying frog asks, "Why did you do it? Now we will both die."The scorpion replies, "I couldn't help it. It is in my nature."

The Star Spirits in the Water

Long ago, the people noticed that on the darkest nights the ocean sometimes glowed with tiny blue lights. When fish swam through the water, they left shining trails behind them. When paddles touched the sea, sparks of light danced around the canoe.
The Elders said these were the footprints of the Star People.
They told of a time when the stars wished to know the songs of the ocean. A few young stars descended from the sky and entered the sea. They loved the water so much that they never returned to the heavens. Instead, they broke into countless tiny lights and scattered throughout the ocean.
Now, whenever the water is stirred, the Star People awaken and remember their journey. They flash their light to greet the Moon, their oldest relative, and to remind humans that the sky and the sea are connected.
The glowing water teaches a lesson: even when surrounded by darkness, a small light can still be seen.
Today we know that many glowing waters are caused by tiny living organisms called dinoflagellates that emit light when disturbed. The phenomenon is called bioluminescence xx

Long ago, when the Ojibwe people lived near the lakes and rivers, there was a beautiful spirit called Nibiinaabe. She was known as the Water Woman, and she protected all who lived by the water. People would come to Nibiinaabe when they needed healing or guidance. They would offer songs, prayers, and small gifts to honor her. One night, a young hunter, restless and unsure, went to the river. As he looked in, Nibiinaabe appeared to him, shimmering in the moonlight. She told him that the river was a living being, that all life came from water, and that he must respect it. After that, he became a protector of the river, teaching his people to always see water as a sacred gift. And that is how the Water Woman still guides them today.

Cyberpunk quotes perfectly capture the genre's defining mantra: "high tech, low life."
They highlight gritty rebellion, the consequences of unregulated technology, and the collision of human consciousness with cold, artificial metal.
Top-tier quotes across literature, gaming, and television that summarize the essence of cyberpunk include:
📖 Literature
William Gibson (The author who defined the genre in Neuromancer):"The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead station."
William Gibson:"The street finds its own uses for things."
Jackie Welles (Cyberpunk 2077):"No happy endings in Night City. You either die a legend with a drink at the Afterlife or live amongst the crowd."
📺 Television & Film
Roy Batty (Blade Runner):"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion... All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain."
David Martinez (Cyberpunk: Edgerunners):"This is it. It's the end of the line for me. But not for you." Xx
