New painting ‘daft dozen’ 76x57cm watercolour on hot pressed paper. This was the painting I was working on shown during BBC1 The One Show last week (mon, tue, wed) haven’t quite finished yet. I’ve been working on some private commissions that I don’t share, which is why I haven’t posted much. I love watercolour. These old gents are inspired by characters I used to know in my local pub, the Lamb in Cadbury Heath

I am so saddened to hear the news about David Hockney. His work has been the single greatest artistic influence on my life. I first discovered his art as a young boy, and over the years I have learned more from him than from any teacher, book, or institution.
What I admired most was his restless creativity. He never stopped looking, questioning, experimenting, and finding new ways to see the world. He refused to stand still, remaining curious and inventive right to the end. Whether painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, or digital art, he brought the same brilliance and originality to everything he touched.
He was a remarkable artist and a rare treasure. I feel profoundly grateful to have lived in his time.

A huge thanks to BBC The One Show for following my journey getting 'Gossip Girls' accepted into The Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition this year. It's been lovely meeting everybody, and I've been overwhelmed by the support and encouragement from the team, such lovely people. Also, a big thanks to all my students who are just the absolute greatest. And of course the biggest thanks to my entire family especially my amazing Wife and Kids
