WildPitch is open to emerging filmmakers with film projects surrounding the natural world at development or production stage. Enter your film idea by Monday 14th September to be in with a chance of pitching your dream project LIVE at Wildscreen Festival 2026 to top industry experts!

Applicants must hold a Full Hybrid/Concession or Tuesday Day Pass and be attending in-person on Tuesday 20th October 2026 to be eligible.

New traineeship with Hello Halo 🎉

Hello Halo TV are looking for a Trainee Development Researcher to support the creation and development of natural history ideas for the BBC and other major broadcasters.

Work with the development team and get hands-on experience, from researching potential stories and contributors, to helping turn initial ideas into engaging pitches.

This is an entry-level opportunity designed for someone who is curious about the natural world, excited by storytelling and keen to learn more about developing ideas for television. Previous professional television experience is not required.

📺 Trainee Development Researcher
▪️ Hello Halo Productions
▪️ Location: Glasgow, office-based
▪️ Salary: Real Living Wage (£13.45 p/h)
▪️ Contract: 210 hours part time over 10 weeks (2-3 days per week)
▪️ Start Date: October 2026
▪️ Deadline for applications: Wednesday 2nd September 2026, 12pm BST
▪️ Interviews to be held: w/c 7th September 2026

Please note that this is an entry level role and to be eligible to apply you must not have more than one year of cumulative paid experience in natural history film and tv. You must be UK-based and have the right to work in the UK and aged 18–30.

These 1-1 sessions, which will be held at the Apex Hotel (Bath), in Bristol and Online, are designed to help you directly connect with industry experts in order to grow and elevate your career in natural world storytelling.

Whether you’re looking to pitch your project to decision makers, looking for tailored feedback on your showreel or seeking advice on how your CV can aid you in taking the next step in your career, these exclusive sessions will provide direct access to industry experts who can guide, provide insight and inspire.
