We exhibit at art fairs in the UK, Europe and internationally each year. The work of our artists is of the highest quality, at an affordable price and complements contemporary living. Owner Andrew Hood is incredibly knowledgeable about art and travels regularly, always on the look-out for new artists to represent. A little visit to Andrew Hood Artist’s Bristol studio. 👀

Jamaica Street Studios – where Andrew and our artists Elaine Jones, Tom Hughes and Kate Evans are based – will be opening their doors for their annual Open Studios this 25 – 27 September, so you can snoop for yourselves!

Not every sketch has to be a finished idea.

At Bristol Harbourside, Andrew Hood Artist captures the boats and bustle of the waterfront. It may not be the prettiest drawing, but that’s not really the point. Back in the studio, Andrew can look again with fresh eyes and perhaps find a shape, composition or detail that sparks the beginning of a painting. ⚓

On the busy Whiteladies Road, Andrew Hood Artist finds a moment to sketch.

Working wet-on-wet allows the pigment to move more freely, creating unexpected marks and textures that bring energy to the drawing. By allowing an element of chance into the process, Andrew finds that some of the most interesting details are the ones he couldn’t have planned. ✏️
