Footlights Performance Academy have been providing high class performing arts education for children and young adults in the South West for more than 11 years. Footlights Theatre Academy provides performing arts classes involving singing, dancing and drama, working towards two

musical theatre performances every year. Footlights Dance Academy provides dance classes for children from 18 months upwards. These children also get a chance to showcase their talents in their own theatre show once a year. Footlights parties provides bespoke professional parties for children of all ages! Our amazing Theatre Academy took a trip to Birmingham this weekend to perform a section of our latest production, Sister Act Jr., for adjudication 🎭✨at the with

The panel included the Musical Director of Wicked, the Director of the film Nativity! and other stars! We performed alongside incredible drama schools from across Europe.

Our students did an absolutely amazing job, and we received some awesome feedback that we can’t wait to bring back into rehearsals.

We are so proud to share that Footlights received an award for Achievement in Ensemble Performance 🌟 and two of our performers were selected as All Stars, earning the chance to perform on the main stage ⭐️⭐️

An incredible achievement and such a special experience for everyone involved.

At Footlights we will always celebrate effort, kindness, creativity and courage just as much as results.

Some of our students will go on to careers in the arts. Others will become doctors, teachers, business owners, scientists, engineers and everything in between.

But the confidence to stand up in front of people, communicate clearly, work as a team and keep going when things feel hard? Those are life skills.

Good luck to every young person sitting exams over the next few weeks. We’re proud of you already 💙

Grace is an accomplished international musical theatre star and graduate of Arts Educational. She now shares her love of all things theatre, movement, music and story telling with footlights studios.

A mum herself she understands the importance of connection with other parents and is passionate about introducing our very youngest members to footlights studios and starting their journey.
