Hi, I’m Cami, and it’s my birthday 🥳 My friend Mikael took these pics of me today, and I thought it would be nice to do an intro!

I was holding a pencil or a crayon since I can remember. I’ve always loved the visual arts, and I now work in the camera department as a focus puller for TV & Commercials ( if you want to take a gander!)

I started painting again in lockdown. It was the first time I didn’t feel guilty for having a hobby. I have since realised that having a hobby is the whole point, make your life your hobby, it should be fun! 😋

What you can expect to see here- me trying out lots of different styles, and learning as I go. I’m inspired by traveling, flowers, light, beauty, magic 🫠 I get excited easily 🧚‍♀️ , so painting grounds me. It helps me understand the world. And I love sharing journey with you all. Peace out! ✌️ 😘

This was a sketch made during a long haul flight ✈️ It’s a copy of a Bargue Plate, a set of master drawings that help with learning to block out and simplify complex shapes. I had a jolly time making this on the flight! You can see my progress, and the last pic is the original I was working from.

I just finished the painting behind me. I’ll take better pictures of it when I have more light in the morning. I’ve been working on it for a year. For now, I’ll just sit on this sofa 😁
