Alright? We’re GURT Productions and we make riotous, playful and outrageous theatre for non-typical theatre audiences. We’re a collective of theatre makers who share a passion for one wildly ambitious mission:
We want to get people who don’t typically go to the theatre, to go to the theatre.

That’s right - we’re passionate about making theatre and telling stories that appeal to new audiences. We listen and hear communities, find gaps in the theatre-making world and make exciting new work that may even make that sports-loving, arts-hating sibling of yours want to grab a pint and watch a show.

Most of the time, our work is playful, high energy and downright ludicrous. However, don’t let hat fool you, though. Sometimes, we create work that makes you think deeply or teaches you something new...
Regardless, we always tell stories that are accessible and entertaining, often in multifaceted ways.
As a company, we often find ourselves asking:

‘How can we get our mum’s to go from watching an ABBA tribute act down the local football club, to watching a piece of Fringe Theatre, if the ticket prices are the same?’

If we can do that, then we’re on to a winner.
