Production pics of Rising Waters, the community play created with people from villages across the Chew Valley, produced by Valley Arts and staged at Yeo Valley Organic Gardens.
Co-directed by Emma Earle and Kate Mcgregor, Designed by Zoe Squire, written by Toby Hulse, with music from Susanna Ted Waters. The play drew from real and imagined stories about the Chew Valley and its relationship to water.
The production was a culmination of months of research and creative workshops, including fish scale making, clay sculpting, music and song writing and much more. The central fish puppet was created at Puppet Place with Cat Rock, featuring scales made by the local community.
Entries to the Rising Waters writing competition, submitted by all ages, were performed in pop up locations around Yeo Valley Organic Gardens.
Thanks to all the audiences who came to watch the show and to the hundreds of people involved in this special project.
