Mother's day can be a tricky day.
Although many of us have been gifted with mothers that have done their up most to nurture, and protect their children at all costs, there are many children & adults that have been left feeling a huge sense of loss with their experiences with mothers.
For those I acknowledge and share my thoughts in my latest blog.
Although my art and creative expression has a tendency to follow vibrant, joyful, even playful childlike projections upon the canvas, the topics I write reflect the unspoken, often ignored parts of human suffering.
Please read and share your comments as your thoughts and insights are always welcome.
This helps me know that I am reaching others that resonate with these often tricky subjects.

I would like to acknowledge the complexity of motherhood and how others are affected by the different aspects of motherhood, and their relationships with their own mothers in life.

We forget that so many have had extremely difficult relationships with their mothers for lots of varied reasons, and for those I'd like to honour the struggles as both a mother and a daughter that understands the dual aspects that motherhood brings.
