Bristol Reptile Encounters

I was in two minds if I should write this post, but I think its for the best.

There was a session where one of the team was assaulted by a customer.

From today, all under 18s must have a parent or guardian with them in the reptile room. Before today the parent or guardian could wait next door, but this is no longer possible.

During the session the team member was hit multiple times and was told to stop. They even asked the parents for help as they was outside the reptile room and they just got shrugged shoulders. The behaviour then got worse when they was not allowed to handle our animals. This was due to health and safety and welfare of the animals as the child was not listening.
This behaviour is unacceptable!

I don't care if this decision losses us business or bookings. The safety of our animals and team is our main priority!

I am sorry to the many customers that have been fantastic at our sessions and parties. This decision was a hard decision to make, but it is need to make sure our team, both animal and human stay safe.

🦎 Reptile Club 🐍
We’re running our reptile club during the summer holidays for children aged 6+ who love animals and want to get stuck in.
During the session they’ll get to learn about some of our reptiles, help with food prep, handle some of the animals and even help feed a few of them — don’t worry, we won’t be feeding the snakes during the club.
It’s a 2 hour session and each child will get a free keyring to take home, as well as a certificate at the end.
It’s a great chance for children to learn a bit more about reptiles, build confidence and have a fun hands-on experience with our animals.
Spaces will be limited, so please book in if you’d like your child to come along.

Can we all give a massive round of applause to Mr Pascal our Yemen chameleon! Today we have done two parties out on the road and he's smashed them.
We are now on our way home from Cardiff after finishing the last party!
Thank you so much to the party hosts and children for being really respectful to our animals and being ever so patient with them.
What a amazing finnish too the week!

Hello everyone 👋

We are nearly booked up until the end of August!

We only have a few dates available for parties, 1-2-1 and family sessions.

We have received loads of enquiries this week already and our calendar is filling up fast!

We will be releasing the dates for our reptile club shortly, so keep an eye on our socials!

I really do want to thank everyone for their support, it means the world to me the fact that this is my job!
