Good morning music-enjoyers. We interrupt this feed to bring you an urgent update from interdimensional correspondent , who has returned from the future bearing this astonishing footage and a stark warning for the club-goers of Bristol on April 21st:
“Heed my word. From the moment the first cue button is pressed that night, nothing will be the same again. I tell you now: I stood there, awestruck, as the roof simply lifted off the Strange Brew backroom to give a maximum ceiling clearance never thought possible. In place of the sky however, my eyes were met with the entirety of space and time laid out before me. The air around aya and k means crackled with energy as the two master mixers duked it out, their beats and rhythms echoing across the centuries. I couldn’t believe my eyes as the room rocketed through a torrent of historical eras and intergalactic locations, each one but a new battleground for these musical titans. The beats never stopped, and the stakes only grew higher.
As the set raged on, and ripped through the boundaries of what I thought was possible with music. They conjured up otherworldly sounds, merging disparate genres and styles in a way that I’d never heard before. My mind quaked and my soul shook as I was bathed in their aural aura, and my blood itself seemed to vibrate with the force of their creativity. And yet, neither DJ was willing to back down. They pushed on to new heights, each continuing to build on the other with mind-bending beats and electrifying rhythms.
As the hours drew on, the tension grew to an almighty crescendo. Who would emerge victorious? Who truly was the strongest DJ? In the end, the question was rendered absurd: they had simply become one, some kind of new musical god. When finally the dust settled, everything I thought I’d known lay shredded on the ground around me. Only one thing was clear: the future of music was in good hands. Oh and also I was glad I had bought an advance ticket on Headfirst.”
