Sitting in glorious sunshine at the pond in my brother's house. The colours were so vibrant with so many shapes and sizes. He liked the painting so much that I gave it to him as a gift in a gold frame.

Melksham Wiltshire

This was an idea that started from a bunch of flowers picked out of our garden. With a bit of tweaking and some backup photos from my wonderful wife, Mandy, off I went.
This is entirely drawn by hand with no light box or tracing. Literally put a clean sheet of 300 g fine finish paper and a lot of work using Polychromos pencils.
I hope do a collection of these month by month and have 4 others which have been asked to be included in an upcoming exhibition.

Clevedon

The painting is called "Brilliance." The sun was so bright it was virtually impossible to look at it. The painting was produced during lockdown. I sat for a good 40 minutes waiting to get what is the desired result. The oil painting will be exhibited at my exhibition from the 18th to the 20th of June at Clevedon sailing club.

Ladye Bay in Clevedon

The oil painting was produced during lockdown in 2020. It is part of my Clevedon collection, comprising of 12 landscapes that were completed over that time.
The painting will be on show at Clevedon art club?s exhibition in April, and at my impressionist exhibition at Clevedon sailing club 18-20th June.

Echoes of colour

As an artist every picture I paint is more than just a picture, it?s a memory. In this piece it is the memory of beautiful sunsets over the calderia, as we celebrated a family wedding. There is nothing quite like the Greek islands to inspire creativity, peace and beauty. The colours are bold, vibrant and warm, and just looking at this takes me immediately to my favourite place in the world.
