Did you attend this year's ukulele festival but can't quite play the ukulele yet? Why not join this beginner class led by BUF founder Danielle from Uke Lift Project?
See below for more details....

Fancy Giving the Ukulele a Go?
Always wanted to learn the ukulele but never quite got around to it? Or perhaps you’ve picked one up before and weren’t sure what to do with it? This friendly six-week beginners’ course is the perfect place to start!
Over six fun and relaxed sessions, we’ll learn the basics together - from holding and tuning your ukulele to playing your first chords, strumming patterns and most importantly, playing some great songs!
There’s absolutely no previous musical experience needed. Whether you can’t tell a chord from a cheese board or you’ve had a little dabble before, you’ll be made very welcome. The aim is to have fun, build confidence and get you playing along with others from the very first session.

No Ukulele? No Problem!
I provide all the ukuleles and music you need for the class, so there’s no need to buy an instrument before you come along. Just bring yourself and a willingness to have a go!
We’ll have the whole of Sundial Kitchen to ourselves, giving us plenty of space to learn, laugh, make a bit of noise and enjoy the sessions without worrying about disturbing anyone else.

📍 Sundial Kitchen
1 William St, Totterdown, Bristol BS3 4TU
Wednesdays, 6:30–7:30pm
Starting 23rd September
£72 for the full six-week course (£12 per session)

Are You Ready to Have a Strum?
This is all about having fun, meeting other people and discovering just how quickly you can make music. No auditions, no musical exams and definitely no pressure - just ukulele, songs and fun to enhance your wellbeing.

The The Uke Lifters had a brilliant time performing at this year's Bristol Ukulele Festival. We played an ecletic mix of songs from the 80's and 90's. The Uke Lifters is led by BUF founder Uke Lift Project who teaches groups and individual lessons in Bristol.

Thank you to the Uke Lifters for your energy and enthusiasm on stage!

We were all amazed with Paul Mansell talent on stage at Bristol Ukulele Festival. His ukulele playing was mesmerising and we had such great feedback from his workshop. Thank you Paul for such an amazing performance. We can't wait to see you perform again next year!

We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Sam Neill.

A lovely supporter of The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, Sam came to see us at the 100 Club and was kind enough to spend time with us afterwards. We remember him with great affection. ❤️

What a truly unforgettable day we shared at this year's Bristol Ukulele Festival last Saturday.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every ukulele band, performer, group, volunteer, and ticket holder who came along and made the festival so incredibly special. Your passion, kindness, energy, and love of music filled every corner of the day, creating memories that will stay with us for a very long time.

Also, a special thanks to Hen and Chicken staff for hosting us again, to Stuart, Cherie, Ace and Daisy for the incredible sound and running such a tight ship to keep the acts on time.

It was an absolute joy and privilege to bring together the wonderful ukulele community of Bristol, the UK and the US to celebrate not just music, but friendship, laughter and the unique spirit that makes our community so welcoming and inspiring. Seeing so many people singing, playing, smiling, and supporting one another was a beautiful reminder of the power of music to bring people together.

This festival is only possible because of every single one of you, and I am so grateful that you chose to be part of it. Thank you for making this year's Bristol Ukulele Festival such a tremendous success and for helping create a day filled with happiness, connection, and unforgettable moments.

Please share you photos and videos below so we can hold onto some memories of a brilliant day!

I can't wait to welcome you all back next year to do it all again.

Until then, keep playing, keep smiling, and keep spreading the joy of the ukulele.

See you all next year! 💙
