IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM THE ROOM ABOVE After entertaining you all for the past five years we’re sad to inform that The Room Above will be closing its doors this weekend! But believe us when we say this is by no means the end of the road! We’re coming for you Bristol! More than ever! Our weekend club shows are moving to a bigger room, we’ve got pop ups planned all across the city, upcoming festivals, tour shows and big projects still to be announced Our plan is to open up our own dedicated full time comedy club in Bristol before the end of the year - so do keep your eyes posted on that journey! For now, I would like to say, when I ( ) put on my first show at The Room Above five years ago I’d have no idea it would all go this far! From closing down in the pandemic, moving back and living inside the theatre for four months, starting out with one show a month and overtime building a wide variety of internal shows - shows that took us to the Edinburgh fringe - to bringing the biggest names on the international comedy scene right to the heart of Bristol It’s sad to see the thing you’ve built close down permanently but what a ride it’s been - I couldn’t have dreamt of a better five years, and we’ll always remember this as where we started but, my god, just think of where we’re going!
