LONGHEADS (Astral Session) AAstral Radio
London-based psych rock powerhouse LLongheadsreturns with another mind-bending Astral Session. Hot on the heels of their debut album ‘Layers of Wax’ (out now on Stolen Body Records), the five-piece outfit continues to push boundaries. Building on the sonic foundation of their EP ‘Mars Doesn’t Feel Like Home Anymore’, they’ve evolved their sound into heavier territories, weaving together psychedelic textures with early metal and stoner doom influences.

Hailed by Guitar World as a fusion of “King Gizzard, the Doors and Black Sabbath... with a dash of desert rock,” Longheads has earned their reputation through brain-melting live performances, including a show-stopping Desertfest debut and support slots for genre titans Slift and King Buffalo. With their latest session, the band demonstrates why Total Guitar Magazine dubbed them the future of Sabbath-worshipping riff merchants.

This is Stolen Body’s 100th release and digital only. We are hoping to raise some funds during this financially turbulent time. If you want this one on vinyl and demand is overwhelming then we can do a limited run!

Grailstone initially began as a lockdown project which was never completed. Following Astral Festival 2022, Alex Studer (guitar, vocals) relaunched the project, joining forces with drummer Hubert 'Ceb' Lewandowski to begin jamming out the songs that would become Peace Perfect Peace. Once the songs were mostly written, Haz Wheaton (ex Hawkwind) was roped in to perform bass duties on the album. The tracks were recorded in Alex's own Astral Studio over the course of a cold couple of days in January of 2022. In a technical disaster straight out of a studio engineer's nightmare, an entire day's was mysteriously lost, so the bulk of the album you hear was recorded in a single day.

The band are predominenty a recording project, having played only a couple of live shows. Following the departure of Ceb on drums, Diego Rodríguez has joined the fold alongside the addition of second guitarist Jason Strickland.
