Thank you to everyone who came along to Old London Road cafe in Kingston.

I loved sharing poems from Why I Wear My Past to Work, as well as a few older pieces and some new work.

It was a pleasure to meet Lucy Furlong and those who came and stayed for the conversation - including a beer afterwards at the Fighting C***s.

Big thanks to Anne Cartwright for these photos and for reading your poem.

Our next Kiss The Sky headliner…

is the superb Samatar Elmi ✨

Currently in the midst of a national tour for not one but three collections, we’re thrilled to welcome him to KTS.

Samatar is a poet and flipped eye press associate poetry editor. His poetry has been published and performed widely. Elmi has three upcoming collections: Agen Bien Fou (Kulvert Press, 2026), 26 Poems for Cash (co-written with Sam Telford, Kulvert Books, 2026) and Reclamations: Disregard Prior Promp (Août Fecit, 2026). He releases music as Knomad Spock.

Join us at The Bridge Inn, Bristol, on 24 May, 7pm sharp, with Chris Campbell hosting the night.

We’ll also have a donations hat out for our headliner, so bring some cash along if you can.
