🌀 ARTIST INTRODUCTION 🌀

AARDVARKK | Bom Shanka Music

Have you heard the good news?

This Friday we welcome Aardvarkk from Bom Shanka Music, bringing his unique sound to the mighty Volks in Brighton!

‘Aardvarkk is the solo psytrance project of Nigel Shiva Valley, a medium-sized, burrowing nocturnal mammal with a long pig-like snout used to sniff out food. He roams over most of the southern two-thirds of the African continent, avoiding mainly rocky areas. A nocturnal feeder, he subsists on ants and termites, which he digs out of their hills using his sharp claws and powerful legs.

In his spare time he writes groovy psychedelic tunes for the night time, and does all kinds of other cool sh*t.’

📣 DJ COMPETITION ANNOUNCEMENT 📣

We are back with another showcase, giving more emerging DJs & artists the chance to play our events and support the scene.

We’re looking for a DJ to open our next Twisted Frequencies night. If your sound sits between Psytechno, Progressive, Psytrance, or anything in between, we’d love to hear your journey.

Even though we’ve called it a competition, we see it more as a showcase, and the winner might not necessarily be the ‘best’ mix. We are not just listening for smooth mixing, but for storytelling, track selection, and how you build and shape energy.

🔊 HOW TO TAKE PART:

🎧 30–60 min mix
⚡ 130–140 BPM
🎵 Psytechno / Progressive / Psytrance
🗓️ Deadline: 20th September 2026
📣 Selected DJ announced: 22nd September 2026

✨ WHAT YOU’LL WIN:

– 1-hour opening set
– £50
– 1 guest list

Send your mix via DM or email: [email protected]

Let’s hear your sound!💥
