🌍❤️🎗𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗔𝗜𝗗𝗦 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 — 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘂𝗽.

News broke that, for the first time since 1988, the U.S. government will not officially commemorate World AIDS Day.

But here in Brighton & Hove, our response is simple:

𝗪𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 — 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀.
No matter what happens elsewhere, we continue to honour those we’ve lost, support those living with HIV, celebrate the progress we’ve made, and fight stigma wherever it appears.

On 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 our city comes together for the Brighton & Hove's World Aids Day Concert — an evening of music, remembrance, solidarity and hope, raising vital funds for Lunch Positive who provide food, friendship and peer support for people living with HIV.

Because when the world pulls back, 𝘄𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.
When stigma rises, 𝘄𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗿.
And when support falters, 𝙬𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙪𝙥 — 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧.
