Last night, it was to take the helm of our creative collective for Drink + Draw Fabrica] with SYNCHRONISED.
For each site-specific exhibition here we curate a one-off evening of life drawing, responding to the exhibition.
performed aerial poses inspired by her love for synchronised swimming, in response to the current exhibition by open sea and endurance swimmer
Kitty was incredible to draw, holding intense poses in full swimming gear (even walking on wrapped in a towel!)
It was a 2 hour session and so massive shout out to the 35 artists assembled who drew in a trance-like state to a soundtrack curated especially for drawing to (link in bio to playlist).
Kate also collaborated with on an original piece of music created a couple of weeks ago in the space.
AMi have been running these events here regularly since 2019 and we always get such an overwhelmingly positive response.
Having an inspiring space like Fabrica] to do challenging and creative events is never something we’ve taken for granted, so it is especially sad to have found out last week that Fabrica did not receive NPO funding. Whilst many other brilliant orgs were successful, this is a huge blow for Fabrica and the enormous work they do creating and nourishing the local community with art, talks, socials, creative workshops etc. Long live Fabrica! We hope to be able to return for further events! 💗
The exhibition is on for a little while longer so do drop by and see it, and why not put a couple of quid in the donations box or sign up for another Fabrica event.
