Katie Essam, Contemporary Applied Art Hi I'm Katie Essam I'm a Contemporary Applied Artist, I free hand machine embroider, applique, crochet, carve wood, work with metal and design.

Please have a look at my work, all designed and made by me! I make a variety of products, framed textile images and unique jewellery. My jewellery is made from a range of media including: wood, thread, silver, wire and beads. The textile art, I use a sewing machine and thread to sketch an image, combined with fabric and interesting papers, paint and ink.
