Lucy Whitford’s ‘Her Palms’ and ‘Alcea’ draw on the same material thinking that underpins her sculptural practice.

Interested in fragility, memory and transformation, Whitford works with both natural and industrial materials — allowing their histories and textures to shape the work.

Here, those ideas move into print, where layered organic forms suggest softness held in tension.

Two works that reflect her ongoing exploration of vulnerability and resilience.

Hello spring! 🌿

Taking its title from Leonard Cohen’s song ‘Anthem’, Harriet Gillet’s ‘Start Again I Hear Then Say’ reflects on renewal - the quiet idea that each day resets regardless of what has passed.

Developed from her painting ‘Two For Joy’ the birds she pictures shift between stillness and animation, suggesting movement between emotional states.

A small work about beginning again created in a limited edition of 100.

A special visit from the brilliant Sarah today who is responsible for our beautiful branding.

Ellipsis Prints is named for the ellipsis mark - the …which for us represents those genders currently marginalised by the art world- those missing voices we want to champion.

Sarah worked with this idea and added the dots to the centre of the logo- she also took the dots off the ‘i’s. It makes our logo meaningful as well as beautiful.

Thank you Sarah 💖

Shop windows have shaped our relationship with desirable objects since the mid-19th century. In French, window shopping is described as lèche-vitrines—literally, ‘window licking’—a phrase that vividly captures the longing stirred by objects on display. Just as shop windows entice us to covet what lies behind the glass, this exhibition draws a parallel with the way the female body is treated as an object of visual consumption.

Hopefully see you there!

Looking forward to exhibiting this beauty for the first time in our show in May.

‘We Are Here. We Will Be Seen’ was created by artist Valerie Savchits as part of a joint initiative with Repaint History. In an art world that is still massively gender biased it is part of a project that challenges art spaces to reassess the number of women and non-binary artists they exhibit, represent and collect.

Women and non-binary artists are marginalised by the mainstream and opportunities are increasing at a painfully slow rate. Through a postcard campaign based on this print we challenge art spaces to reassess their bias.

This limited edition print is available to collect in a limited edition of only 25. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist. Postcards are also available on the website.

Thought you might enjoy this stunning exhibition by Ellipsis artist Sunyoung Hwang on this grey day.

Sunyoung’s engaging and intuitive use of colour always makes me happy. She describes her work as “emotional archaeology” - a tangible representation of the flow of internalised thoughts, emotions, impressions and memories. She works in layers of paint, building and removing them and create a complex impression.

This exhibition “The Listened Landscape” ran at Frestonian Gallery in London and the gallery recently took her works to New York for The Armory Show.

Sunyoung has created two prints with Ellipsis - the first shown here in image 1 is called Fossil and collecting it is a great way to support and hold onto a little piece of her practice.

Now showing in New York!

The Threshold Beckons is a fascinating new exhibition bringing together Ellipsis artist Yulia Iosilzon with Nicola Turner.

“A limitless number of realities must exist,” the protagonist of Ingmar Bergman’s 1977 film, Autumn Sonata, Eva insists, “not only the reality we can grasp with our blunt senses, but a tumult of realities that arch over and around, inside and outside.”

This exhibition explores threshold states, transformation and new ways of seeing the world, creating unexpected meeting points to conjure new realities.

Go see! It’s open until 15 March
