BRISTOL! 👋

We're bringing Lava Elastic to on 3 September thanks to support from Arts Council England

Expect an evening of comedy, spoken word, music and gloriously uncategorisable performance from a hand-picked line-up of artists doing what they do best.

Born as the UK's first openly neurodiverse comedy night, Lava Elastic is warm, welcoming, a little bit chaotic, and always full of surprises.

Our lineup:

- Autistic, non-binary comedian, award-winning chaos merchant and brilliant storyteller. You may have seen them on Comedy Central Live, Rosie Jones’ Disability Comedy Extravaganza and BBC One Wales’ Stand Up Sesh.

- A neurodiverse comic, Brighton Fringe favourite and South Coast Comedian of the Year finalist - plus an old Lava Elastic pal we’re very excited to welcome back.

- A fast-paced, rhythmic and wonderfully unpredictable poet blending satire, politics and nonsense into something completely his own.

- An extraordinary autistic arts-expresser bringing music, words and “unjumbled” inner worlds to the stage - live and in person at Lava Elastic for the first time!

Whether you've been before or you're joining us for the first time, we'd love to see you there.

"Lava Elastic is like a TV variety show if TV was allowed to be weird." -Victoria Melody

🎟️ Grab your tickets now and come get weird with us!

ID: Bright purple text on a bright yellow background reads: "Neurodiverse comedy is coming to Bristol!" above the Lava Elastic logo which is a purple splodge like from a lava lamp above the name. Below, is a grid of triangles and other geometic shapes in vibrant colours, some of which have the faces of our Bristol lineup.

A lovely light fitting snapped by Sarah S on a recent trip to Boudica where we usually have our weekly meet-up’s (their music is unusually brilliant as fab as their coffee and cakes)

The final brilliant performer joining us for the first date of our Arts Council England Lava Elastic tour starting The Wardrobe Theatre Bristol on 3rd September is the extraordinary

Sumita is an autistic arts-expresser, who explores their mindworlds with music shapes and words, through varying forms.
This version includes diary-like unjumblings, public typelings and little song-things, outering the inner world emails that did not find you.
permission to laugh - inside or outside of your face *+*+

This is the first time the brilliant Sumita Unjumbled has been able to join us live because last time we were lucky enough to have her at ‘Lava’ we were all in a lockdown…so onstage and in-person is something we’ve all been looking forward to for a while

Tickets are already available for the 3rd September so if you want to come and join us all just grab some tickets and join us for our 1st date with a really special line-up of truly excellent acts

Another of our brilliant performer’s for our The Wardrobe Theatre Bristol Arts Council England tour date on 3rd September is poet Anthony Fairweather

Sometimes described as ‘the only performance poet who comes with a speech impediment supplied as standard’
Anthony’s performing style is fast paced, rhyming and rhythmic. With poems that are political, satirical and nonsensical, sometimes all at the same time.

‘Anthony Fairweather, a poetry slam champion…can give Eminem competition once he starts rhyming’
(Bournemouth Daily Echo)

‘He’s a great rhymer and satirical poet…his work is of a great quality and his honesty and humour always shine through’

(Kat Francois, poet)

We’re huge fans of his work at Lava Elastic and really glad to be able to share Anthony’s on-stage brilliance with our audiences…a unique and brilliant poet

Tickets are available for our first tour date already so grab some and come and join us at The Wardrobe Theatre, Bristol for a lush line-up of performers on 3rd September

The 2nd brill performer we have on for our 1st Arts Council England 3rd September tour date The Wardrobe Theatre is Alex Petrovic

Alex isn’t completely new to Lava Elastic show’s, he joined us in the early day’s in Brighton and it’s a real treat to have him back.
A neurodiverse comic of Eastern European descent and a runner-up at South Coast Comedian of the year 2019 and 3rd place Brighton Fringe Comedian of the year 2026

He’s performed at many of the best comedy clubs from Newcastle to London and has also been support for Sean McLoughlin Tom Houghton and Brian Gittins plus more…he’s just generally a funny dude and an ace human…and a really great addition to our Bristol line-up

Again, grab tickets when you can because it will be a really fun night and we’d love to see your lovely faces there
