A lovely concert this evening with Coro Nuovo Voices as MD/Accompanist for “A Celebration of Gilbert & Sullivan” at Danny House in Hurstpierpoint. Congratulations to all the performers including Helen Lewis, Susan Fleet, Dick Bacon, Hilary Jane Jones, Samuel Kerr.

Back to the same venue on Monday for “A Night at the Musicals” with Karen Reynolds, Tania Newton, Habitat Morrison, Richard Dawes and Gary Lynn.

It’s been a busy few weeks with six completely different concerts!

Crazy day today with two different concerts. This afternoon was a concert for the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Sussex. The main item was a semi staged performance of Sullivan’s THE ZOO. We played to a very appreciative PACKED house! It was great to see some old faces in the audience. I was fortunate to have a pretty outstanding cast including Fenton Gray, Karen Reynolds, Hilary Jane Jones, Jonathan Fisher and Matthew Scott Clark. Supported by an excellent chorus and the wonderful Julie Mackrill on the piano.

And then this evening over to Hurstpierpoint for the final concert of the Hurst Festival. This was “Puccini’s World” with Heber Opera. Again, another cast of terrific singers including Matthew Connolly, Veronica Brooks, Daria Robertson, Simon Wilson, Tim Crouch, Steve Hawksley, Sally Luckhurst, Richard Bacon and Bethan. Again, supported by an excellent chorus and the brilliant Tim Nail on the piano and humorous introductions by Roger Clow.

I’m on a high, but I’m exhausted!!!

A wonderful afternoon at Orchid House in Worthing this afternoon as part of the entertainment at their “Decadent Tea Party”. Thankyou Karen Reynolds, Habitat Morrison, Eleanor Lakin and Calum Jones - my fantastic cast of singers. Thank you to Thérèse Williams for putting me in contact with the hotel.
Good to catch up with people I’ve not seen for a long time - John Lake, Miles Davis, and Rosemary Coffey’s daughter-in-law who I’ve not met before but came and introduced herself. The last bit of info is for all my friends who knew Rosemary.

Congratulations to Alex and her family for such a successful event.

I highly recommend Orchid House for anyone who loves a high quality afternoon tea. You must go!
