Here’s a little throwback to our brilliant open house weekend in May when we welcomed hundreds of you into our workshops here in Portslade. What a weekend it was!

Visitors got the chance to try on Masked Singer costumes, meet the makers and watch them work, and ask all those burning questions about how the heck we make the things we do.

We’ll be going again next May. Who’s in?

Back in May we were asked by our friends at VCCP Roar to make a giant levitating Wotsit to promote the premier of The Mandalorian & Grogu in London’s Leicester Square.

Never ones to pass up a challenge, we first created a tiny model version to make sure we had the proportions just right from all angles. Then we hand carved the giant Wotsit from polystyrene before hardcoating and hand painting to achieve the perfect orange colour. The recognisable Wotsit texture was created by mixing a special blend of PVA glue, orange paint and sawdust!

We installed the giant orange snack so it appeared to magically levitate over a hand carved rock structure bursting out of the ground, complete with hidden smoke effect controlled via Bluetooth. The scenic backdrop was supplied by the team at KGK and their sister rig company BeMatrix.

Back in March we worked with luxury fragrance brand Kayali on the launch of two new fruit-forward perfumes.

The lush new perfumes are Eden Sweet Peach I 35 and Eden Plush Pear I 23. They joined the original scents from their popular Eden Collection, Eden Juicy Apple I 01 and Eden Sparkling Lychee I 39.

We sculpted, hardcoated and handpainted two sets of oversized pears, peaches, apples and lychees to appear in the brand’s gorgeous product launch imagery. How good do these juicy superstars look?

We’re a bit late posting about this one given the Devil Wears Prada 2 was released back in May but better late than never, we say, especially when it comes to fun requests like this.

The brief - make a high-fashion jacket but make it out of red stilettos in homage to the original movie’s iconic poster.

Never ones to turn down a challenge, we created a bespoke tailored jacket from red PVC and attached slices of high heeled shoes, positioned to grow organically from the garment to create real catwalk drama. The resulting showstopper was worn by the gorgeous Tasha Ghouri.

We think even Miranda Priestly would approve of this one.

Meet Irene, the gigantic orange monster we made to celebrate the release of the new Monsters & Minions movie, complete with multiple moving eyes. What a photo op! Fun times at Cineworld the O2, Greenwich last week. Irene will be at Cineworld Sheffield until Thursday 17th July, don’t miss her or Minions & Monsters, in cinemas now!

Visitors to Cineworld the O2, Greenwich came eyeball-to-eyeball last week with a giant, squishy, orange monster called Irene.

She’s the larger-than-life star of the new Minions & Monsters movie, and she took centre stage at a free immersive experience to celebrate the new release.

Along with a ballpit for kids to unleash their inner Minion and banana-shaped furniture to lounge on, visitors could pose ‘inside’ Irene’s giant folds for an eye-popping photo op.

Carved from giant polystyrene blocks covered in layers of foam and paint, specially-formulated by the team here at Plunge to create a glossy, spongy finish that's touchable and durable, we also gave Irene multiple moving and blinking eyeballs.

Irene will be at Cineworld Sheffield until Thursday 17th July, don’t miss her or Minions & Monsters, in cinemas now!

Earlier this year we got the chance to work with an absolute icon when we were asked by to help Daddy Pig with his London Marathon preparations.

We jumped at the chance to get him looking his best, particularly important when you’re training with himself, Joe Wicks!

Daddy Pig was running to raise money for the National Deaf Children’s Society following the news that George Pig has moderate hearing loss. He finished the marathon in 5 hours, 51 minutes and 53 seconds and smashed his target to raise £57,000!

Is there anything more summery than fresh strawberries and a game of tennis? How about giant strawberries, a 7.5-metre long tennis racket and exclusive summer edition matcha drinks!

We worked with and to completely refit the Caffé Nero at Wimbledon Station - inside and out - ready for a fabulous tennis-themed take over.

Not only did we make and install the gigantic tennis racket on the roof, we covered the front in lush greenery and giant juicy strawberry sculptures. Game, set, matcha!
Inside we transformed the whole space with textured wall panels, a circular video wall, bespoke stainless steel bars, merch displays and photo ops.

The pop-up ends this weekend, so don’t wait.

Who spotted the one-of-a-kind Sleeping Bag-uette we made for Subway?

The giant Italian BMT was stuffed full of everything you’d expect - lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion, salami, pepperoni and cheese - all handmade by our expert props and costume team. Our super-snug sub even made a guest appearance on Lorraine this week! It’s sure to turn heads this summer 😎
